Stop showing future stays in the balance on the check-out list
The summary of guest balance on the check-out page is pretty nice and allows us to see with a quick glance if the guest has something left to pay when leaving.
It would be much better if that summary only showed the balance for the current stay and not the future stays of the guest.
Most of our regulars have dozens of stays booked in advance and the check-out summary shows the total for all of them which is completely irrelevant during check-out.

I feel that when checking out guests in mews, it can get confusing when a guest has a "future payment" leading to many awkward moments when you tell the guest that there seems to be something they need to pay, only to realise after that it's a future payment and you now took more of their time which also worries guests a bit on if they have paid or not, I think having the current check-in and future payments separated as a standard and not displayed as "Something left to pay" would be ideal, if someone wants to pay for their future visits too it wouldn't be hard to just mash them together, but ususally it's the opposite from what I've personally seen.

We are also of the opinion that stays should be listed separately by period in the statement. Mistakes happen again and again when there is a lot going on and little time.

The Check-out Report is currently showing the open balance for all the Guest Stays. But the Check-out Report just need to display the current Stay. So if we are linking payment to reservations this can easy fixed.

Yes, this seems like one of the only glaring dysfunctions in MEWS. The balance should be for all current and PAST stays, not FUTURE stays. Moreover, the system should be more transparent about when it's aggregating bills like that, even when it is just concurrent stays in separate rooms.
