Update Posting Journal format/information - more detailed
When pulling the "Gross Value" information, it would be great to have the Tax and Net Values pull into the report as well so only one report needs to be exported/run to determine what the net revenue and what the taxes were associated with each individual transaction. Right now I would have to run two separate reports to get this information and then manually match up the tax amounts with the net amounts to get the total amounts.
Also, when exporting this and reviewing, there is no easy way to create a pivot table with the items because the "ITEM" column is so specific/unique. Is it possible to include either "Accounting Category" or a "Description" column that contains easily identifiable and groupable information for reporting. For example, all of the "Stay" Service have individual nights or "cancellation" listed under the Item column. When reporting, I would like to be able to see group the "Stay" services by "Consumed" and "Cancelled." This is also true for how we do Tax Exemption and In Room Items. But the Item should also not have the quantity listed as a - if the item is being returned, instead, it would be great to have a separate quantity field that is numeric only and shows either +# as normal typed numbers and -# with a negative in front of the number.
