    We have now added multiple new ways to sort the spaces in the housekeeping application including, the state of the room, the services present in the property, Space categories & space classifications.

    In addition to the above, we are currently developing the ability to search for specific floors.

    If you would like any additional ways to sort spaces in the housekeeping application, please do let us know.

    Thanks to your feedback, we decided to release two most wanted intervals! Now you can view following data on your reports:

    · Ongoing 6 months: First day of the current month at 00:00 – 6 months later at 00:00
    · Ongoing year: First day of the current month at 00:00 – 12 months later at 00:00

    The further development of the idea for the upcoming period is not planned for now. However, If we have any new updated on it, we will certainly let you know.

  5. The Product Report is a great tool to identify all products that your property may offer and to help identify daily needs for your operations department. An additional filter to group products by product category could save some manual calculation as it could then show all totals within the report.

  6. To add additional self-service options for your guests, online checkout could help lessen traffic during peak checkout hours and eliminate queues from your reception desk. On the morning of departure, guests could use a link from their checkout email to review their bills, check out of their rooms, and then drop off their keys on their way out.

    Chain reports are available through Mews Analytics, an add-on available for purchase through the marketplace.  

  9. As it can be time consuming to sort through and view each document individually, the capability to export all bills closed within a particular interval to a single document could expedite this process for many accounting teams.

  10. Spaces can vary based on the type of beds that they are furnished with, which is often important for housekeeping to know. Adding support for different bed types and arrangements could help clarify assignments for your housekeeping staff and minimize confusion for guests.

    You can set up the bed type definition on the space category level in the Mews web application. Open settings > services > space categories > select Space classification and add you preferred bed definition for example "Standard twin".

    We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!

    On this new screen we have separated bill items from past and future reservations. Now you can stick to seeing the relevant bills for your reservation in the selected stay period

    Don’t worry, we haven’t gotten rid of it completely! We have created an additional billing screen for each guest. You can access this screen by selecting “All guest’s bills” in the new billing screen. This will show you all open past, present and future bills for the guest you have selected, with convenient tags so you always know which bills are relevant for you.

    Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.

    Think of this as your billing screen 2.0!

    We are very happy to inform you that you are currently able to select the specific space categories that you would like to be included in your police report.

    You can update your preferred categories by selecting your police report in the Mews Marketplace, from here you can remove any of Space categories that you would not like to be included.

Mews Commander is a very versatile system, but as many actions are continually repeated and many pages are revisited throughout the day, this could be greatly improved for users with the introduction of keyboard shortcuts. Using these shortcuts, you could immediately access our timeline, reservation overview, batch checkout, and more. Speed up your operations and complete daily tasks with ease using this handy new tool.

  15. "The rate management screen in Mews contains a lot of information and is often used to plan overbooking strategies and revenue management for upcoming weeks. Redesigning this page could provides a lot of opportunity to improve the interface, make it more user-friendly, and include the most valuable details for the people who use this screen most.

    Now, you can see exactly how many spaces are free (the number is positive) or overbooked (it’s negative) on the space categories level with the improved Occupancy and Availability reports.

  20. The timeline simple detail is a great snapshot of reservation data, especially if you just need a brief overview to check something. However, this simple detail could be expanded to include some other important details or functionality, such as a summary for group bookings or a quick-edit feature to make changes or add notes.
