  1. i am trying to make a new booking for a guest as part of a "group".
    however, the system does not let me chose the correct service option and insists i book a cot instead of an apartment.
    totally pointless.
    i do not wish to make a new reservation from the guest profile as i wish to keep all the other information of the current booking. reason is that there is a short break in the existing booking and not a complete new one.
    thank you for investigating and fixing.
    PS - this is not the first time this happens…

    Hello from the Mews product team,

    We are very happy to announce that we have added reservation details in the task section of the Mews mobile app!

    You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.

    Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

  3. In MEWS we have some old stay services which we dont use anymore but cannot delete because there are old reservations one.

    I tried to change the display order in the stay service settings however this doesnt pull through on all screens.
    E.g. homepage, reports and timeline.
    When we are working in the account we need to keep changing the view from the old stay service to the actual active stay service.

  4. once you have made a booking for a room, you seem to be unable to duplicate it and add a different service (like parking or cot). you should get the ability to change this when making the duplicate as the cot and parking are in general for the same dates as the room booking

    Hi, to create new reservation of another bookable service linked to a reservation of the accommodation, please, use Reservation group functionality. 


    You can use the same dates, details etc - just use the "Add another reservation" button in the Reservation flow.

  5. When you click on the "Timeline" symbol on the guest future reservation. The system does not brings you to the exact reservation on the timeline. you have to check for that on the search bar. I think it would save time if we can access straight away from the guest reservation.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are very happy to inform you that this issue has been resolved. When selecting the reservation icon for future reservations, you will now be directed to the correct space the reservation is allocated on the timeline.

    Should you encounter any issues with this functionality, please do let us know.

  6. When selecting a room on the timeline and seeing the Details pane on the right side of the screen. Mews displays whether the guest has "checked-in online" or if they are "to be checked-in", however doesn't show the status of the room ie. CLE, DIR or INS.
    Would be beneficial to see if the room is clean or not to enable a faster and more pleasant check-in experience for the guest.
    A simple icon (similar to the one on the "Room Status" section) would be incredibly helpful.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is currently possible to view the name of a guest the has checked in from the Mews Mobile app from the spaces section.


    In order to view this information, select a room, scroll down and you will be able to see the name and details of a reservation that is currently in a room.

  8. Currently, once created, bookable services can never be deleted. If you create some by accident you then have to live with them as they take up valuable up display real-estate (and increase the time it takes to figure out what to click on).

    Please introduce the option to delete those (either from the property or from the support level).

    Hello, we are happy to inform you we have enabled service deletion in Mews.

    Bookable services can be now deleted if there is no space category or space feature or reservation linked to them.

  9. Would be nice if the room number shows up behind the name while using the search bar. If you look up a name now, you have to click on the name before you see the room number.

  10. it is actually unworkable as it will try to update for at least 2 minutes (no exaggeration!)
    it does it for as good as all the actions you and you basically need to open a new mews session (or risk that you forgot what you were about to do in the first place)

    We are happy to inform you that we have resolved the performance issues for the system.

    You and your team should be able to run Mews at an improved speed. Should you continue to experience performance issues, please do let us know.

  11. For paymaster accounts we organize the receivable invoices per month or prepare a group of bill for a special wire transfer amount. Having the option of renaming a bill preview will be very useful when we transfer a receivable invoice from a customer profile to the paymaster account. We won't confuse about the right bill preview to transfer anymore.

  12. It would be very nice to see the room number of the guest in the tasks list in the Mews Commander and the mews commander app.
    If the housekeeping is using only the app, they can't see the reservation and therefore the room number.

  13. Notes in reservations is now a small box with just 3 lines visible. We need to adjust the size of the box or else we lose time scrolling down and looking the text.

  14. Due to the actual situation we have a high interest in walk in numbers. At the moment there is possibility to get a walk in figure. It can be only assumed reservations for the same day are walk ins, but its not clear at all. Therefore we request a walk in origin code which can be much better tracked.

  15. Would like the ability to save favorite reports in Mews rather than have to reset the filters each time. We can save this for export, but if I only wish to view the report, I must reset the filters each time and remember the previous setting used. This is cumbersome and prone to mistakes.

    If there was a favorite report section under the burger menu, it would be easy to access specific areas in Mews to display reports that are frequently used. These can be exported or printed, but in most cases, just need to be able to save the…

    Thank you for the feedback.

    It is currently possible to view your favorite reports with the filters preselected by using custom links. You can set this up by:

    1. Opening a report in Mews > select the filters you require.
    2. Click “View” to apply the filters.
    3. Copy the URL and paste it in as a custom link.
    4. Save your custom link and refresh the page
    5. You will now be able to access the report with pre-selected filters by opening the burger menu > select custom links > select the custom link you have created

    It is also possible to access the custom links using a keyboard shortcut. You can learn more about both in the guide linked below:

Currently in Mews, if you assign filtered spaces in the room assignment screen example Dirty, first floor, then select the housekeeper and select all rooms, the complete list of rooms of the first floor appears. You select the rooms you with to assign to this housekeeper, click Assign. Then you want to assign the next Housekeeper to the remaining rooms and follow the same process. However, when you choose spaces, the complete list of spaces (example Dirty, first floor) reappears and you have to remember which rooms you have already assigned or you may accidentally override the assignments already given.…

  18. Consumption date of once products is not shown on the Guest in house report. This report is used by the F&B team to determine whether a specific guest has purchased breakfast or not on a particular day. Product report does not show room numbers and therefore cannot be used when guests come to the restaurant.

    Please add the consumption date of "Once" products so it can be easily visible on a single report without needing to add notes.

  19. Please remove the option to charge the customer card against all items under Unassigned.
    This is causing operational problems, because is much easier to charge fully for current and future stays all together by mistake or while in a rush. The only way to prevent wrong charging is to manually move the charges to a New Bill.
    This is a technical disadvantage.

    Old billings screen was able to prevent this as products for future reservations were kept on the left hand side. There was no option to collect payment against them.
