  2. Virdee does not receive updates to guest contact information from Mews. This is due to a limitation in the API on the Mews side. If a guest contact (name, phone or email) changes In Mews, then it must manually be changed in the Virdee dashboard.

  3. Add the possibility to update the release date when reservation is updated.
    Currently, if a reservation's arrival date is changed and its release date is after the new arrival date, the update is not possible via connector API and the user has to make the modification in the UI

  6. We need a more detailed descriptions in action log and in origin for those integrations that use the connector API.

    We currently have multiple integrations (room checking, IReckoU, Omniboost, Zapier, Pxier, etc.), it's is impossible to understand in our analytics (POWER BI) through which channel a booking came if it just says connector for all.

    Same applies for action log. If something went wrong. How do we know which integration made the change if all indicated system?

  7. At the moment we have support for:

    • getting resource blocks
    • adding resource blocks
    • deleting resource blocks

    But we're unable to update resource blocks though it is possible within the Mews application.

  8. Connector API does not have an endpoint for updating an availability block. There are only endpoints for creating (availabilityBlocks/add), deleting (availabilityBlocks/delete) and updating its service availability (services/updateAvailability).

    Some reasonable use cases for updating an availability block would be:

    1) Block created for 5 days. After some time the sales person needs to extend the block with, let's say, one day pre and two days post, so the block becomes 8 days long.

    2) Update the release date of the block.

    3) Update the booking notes with some special instructions which has been assigned later.

  10. Integration partners can retrieve the estimated transaction fee via accountingItems/getAll, with CreditCardTransaction extent.

    The "Fee" parameter gives the estimated transaction fee value. (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/operations/finance#credit-card-transaction)

    However, with the recent feature release of transaction fee adjustments for select properties, the updated fees are not returned, and can cause discrepancy between data in Mews PMS and in other systems (e.g. accounting, business intelligence, etc).

    In the exported Payment Report, "Fee total net"/"Fee total" refers to the estimated transaction fee and will be displayed "Fee" parameter in the CreditCardTransaction object. On the other hand, "Adjusted total fee" in the same report refers to…

  11. Currently, an integration partner that uses inventory data (such as Revenue Management systems, Event Management, etc) needs to poll resourceBlocks/getAll and are not able to sync space avilability in real time.

    There is already a WebSocket notification when a room/space/resource is make as Out of Service (OOS). Would be great to expand that to cover Out of Order (OOO) and House Use blocks to reduce the need for calling the API regularly to check for created/updated resource blocks.

    Packages in Mews are created by applying product rules to rates. These rules define which and how many products are added/removed from a given reservation. You can now retrieve all product rules configured at a property using the Get all rules endpoint.

  15. At the moment it is possible to add a note to a reservation when creating it. It is not possible to update the note, but that's already covered here(https://feedback.mews.com/forums/919087-marketplace-app-store-integrations/suggestions/36660829-connector-api-update-reservation-with-notes).

    Since a reservation can have multiple nodes it would be really nice if we had a create note endpoint which can add extra nodes to a reservation.

    The value of the Notes of a reservation can be retrieved via Get all reservations. Using Update reservation, that value can be extended to include any additional notes to be added to the reservation.

  17. Would be a nice-to-have if the [PlatformAddress]/api/connector/v1/reservations/updateInterval accepted an array of ReservationIds so that we could make one request to perform a batch update instead of making several requests.

  18. To retrieve a guest reservation during a remote check-in, the customer often use his name and/or email, and/or its 3rd party booking number (e.g. booking.com or other booker external number).

    Currently reservation lookup by customer name or email can be accomplished with:
    1. A first http call to lookup for the customer ID using his name or email
    2. A second one to get the reservation using this customer ID.

    And reservation lookup by name, email and/or 3rd party booking number can also be achieved by:

    You can fix this by calling GetAllCustomers (where you can filter by email, first name, last name) and then fetch all companionships by Customer Id. Lastly you can load Reservations that already contain 3rd party booking number

  19. Within Mews, there is a messaging hub where users can have two way conversations with guests.

    By adding messaging to the Connector API, integrators would be able to push in messages and receive messages. For example, a chatbot.

  20. Currently there's no way to retrieve all reservations in a reservation group.

    Our use case: we fetch recently changed reservations from Mews but need to push all reservations in the reservation group as a whole. But we don't know what additional reservations are in that group.
