Automatic Wait List Feature
The requested feature is that guests can register on a wait list on fully booked dates with automatic email notifications for when rooms are again available on the desired date(s).
This would remove any need for manual labor from the hotel side to handle wait lists.
Example:
- Guest tries to book a room Aug 1st - Aug 2nd
- Hotel is fully booked
- Guest opts in to our guest list by entering their email address
- Hotel opens up for bookings on Aug 1st

Notification when room status is changed
Imagine this situation:
Guests are early for CI and waiting for their room to be ready. This room could then be marked as "notify me about status change".
When housekeeping changes the room status to "inspected" a notification is sent to the front office.
Then they can call the guests and they can check in as early as possible.8 votes -
customize occupancy in the booking engine
We would like to customize the occupancy in the booking engine, so that we have the posibility to manage the amount of available houses for sale.
For example, when there is one house left in each house type, it should not be possible to sell in the Booking engine to avoid overbooking, so it is only possible to book by contacting us directly.

Error with Parent and Child Space Setup in Booking Engine
In the current Booking Engine, there is a confusing issue with how parent and child space categories are handled. Guests are able to select all beds (child spaces) within a dorm (parent space) and also select the dorm itself. However, when attempting to finalize the reservation, the system displays the following error:
"We're very sorry, the highlighted categories are not available for the selected dates. Please select another category to proceed with your booking."

Booker Flow: Allow Booker to Determine if They are Financially Responsible
Via The booker flow, it would be useful to offer a button that can help the guests determine who is truly financially responsible for the booking Booker Vs Staying Guest. In this manner, this can also help redirect the cost of the reservation more efficiently to the one truly responsible versus the fact that it always defaults to the booker account.
This flexibility can reduce some of the manual work on the team when they must correct the billing and find the real responsible party.

Datalayer with user data for 'Enhanced Conversion' on Google and Meta
Upon a completed booking, it would be helpful if MEWS creates a datalayer with the personal data from the booking (name, email, phone number, and country) that can subsequently be sent to Google and Meta as part of 'Enhanced Conversion' to better optimize advertising.

Space types to be displayed according to an specific priority
Spaces are shown in the BE based on the rate group and cancellation policy. For a hostel with dorms, rooms and beds, this make the dorms and rooms to be displayed firt (more expensive) rather than the beds (less expensive) and potential customers are easily discouraged when they only look at the first elements shown. It would be helpful to choose wich space type show first regardless of the pricing configuration.

Multi property booking engine
Create a multiproperty booking engine where guests can find availability and prices for multiple properties in the same city / region / country by querying on stay dates. Currently a specific property needs to be selected, resulting in a tedious process (with 7 properties in 1 city for example) resulting in low conversion and churn.

Task for products added via the Booking Engine
It would be great to have a task created when a product is added during the booking process on the booking engine. This will save time so the team do not have to search upcoming bookings.

Request guests' home location when booking
Add an address field in the booking engine so we can understand where our guests are coming from. Also helps with marketing efforts. If the PMS can then take this data and create a report showing states/countries that had the most amount of guests, that would be amazing.

"Booking Abandoned": Enable it for Availability Block Reservations Picked up in the BE
There exists a "Booking Abandoned" flow (the 15mins offset) in the booking engine configuration. However, this flow does not apply to Availability Block Reservations picked up via that same booking engine link. It would be great to consider the same rule for these types of reservations as well.

Pictogram and accomodation type
We would like to submit a few modifications regarding the Mews Booking Engine, which is used by a variety of hotels with different concepts.
Choice of pictogram: We would like each user to have the option to select a pictogram based on the type of accommodation they manage, for example, a "house" pictogram instead of "bunk bed."
Clarification on pricing: Below the price, it currently states "per room/per night." We request that this be changed to "per accommodation," and this should also apply in all languages version. Or give the possibility to choose if we want it per room or…

Ability to set maximum children per booking
In the configuration of the booking engine, you are able to select the maximum amount of adults per booking - but not the maximum amount of children.
This feature would be nice to have.

Hotel Logo should be clickable to lead to hotel homepage
When people are entering from e.g. Google Hotel Ads the landing page is always the distributor link (technically it is not possible to link the ads to the widget integrated booking engine)
Problem then is that users can not go to the homepage of the hotel directly.
It is a learned & normal website usability that logos are clickable and lead to the homepage if a website.
For me it is a must have.

Facilitate Promotion Campaigns on booking engine and internally
It would be great to be able to
- setup public promotions / special offer campaigns like you can do on booking.com or expedia. Setup a special offer as a percentage or fixed amount discount based upon (a selection of) existing public rate, possibly with restrictions in terms of booking window and/or travel window, etc..
- setup private discounts on (a selection of) existing rates with a promo code, for example a code returning guets can enter in the booking engine to access a returning booker discount on all rates ,...

Streamline booking engine conversions by displaying all spaces first
We've just tested conversion on the mews booking engine vs siteminder and mews is significantly lower and what appears to be the key fix is to allow the site visitors to see all bookable spaces/rooms/packages available on step 1 in combination with date selector so they can refine down to preferred room and dates. I've seen multiple other requests which suggest the same issue

Add Week Numbers To The Timeline
Can you add the week numbers to the timeline as many guests ask about availability of a certain week number before booking a date. This would improve the speed of me answering their questions and a better overview.

split capacity by age category or day of week
- We would like to make it possible to add a baby and a child (up to 12 yo) on some rooms, but in MEWS I can only put extra capacity for either 1 or 2 people. When I put down 2 people it gives guests the option to put two children up to 12yo in the room. Is it also possible to distinguish age groups in this capacity? So that guest can only add 1 child and 1 baby, and not two children?

Average price for breakfast
When a reservation is done with 1 Adult + 1Child than the average price of the breakfast for both products will be displayed.Breakfast adults: 20€, Breakfast child 10€ then it displays 15€. This can be very confusing for guests + staff. It is better to display the price per each product and do not show the average price
