Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. You'll find a category here for each of the major topics in property management, and if you can't find the right category, please search or post to the Other category. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  2. At the moment, when you look at the reservations on the Dashboard, the oldest bookings is displays in the top.

    It would be nice, if the newest bookings was showing at the top instead

  3. It would be nice if the night, products and additional expenses, shown at the right side of the screen in a reservation, could be totals and be folded out if clicked on for details. This way long stays do not result in a long list you have to scroll down, to see the notes at the bottom.

  5. I would like to see how long it takes my reception staff to do a check in. If the activity log showed the time from a reservation opened to the time they check it in.

  6. We use the Mews messages for some internal announcements.

    It would be great it there is an option to delete (internal) messages threads and to remove members from the thread.

  7. At the moment you're not able to schedule a future out of service (still selling) room, while you can schedule a out of order (no longer selling) room. I would need to be able to schedule out of service as well. For example in situations where we have maintenance go into the room and the reception and the housekeeping staff shouldn't use the room, but we still want to sell the room as it will be done same day.

  8. On the reservation screen, if the reservation is not saved (guests changed his mind for a reason) I want to be able to enter a turnaway reason: Price too high, room type not available...

  9. It would be great that we could set a ring/bell signal for some urgent tasks, like for: Late check out, wake-up call, any other urgent task. So you hear that something urgent needs to be done, also when you do not look at the desktop screen.

  11. why we need to have so many tabs just to get an print of registration form while checking in a guest. something like a one shot go and the print is ready to go

  13. To choose between the options "check out balanced bills" and "check out with unbalanced bill" you have to set the check mark. As the check marks will be set by clickling somewhere in the whole line, it's very easy to set the wrong check mark by accident. The check mark should be set only by clickling directly on the check mark box.

  14. Now, the automatic reminder and cancellation e-mails are send to the guest and not the booker. Even if the guest has no e-mail, the booker (or anybody else) does not receive an automatic reminder and cancellation. As we have a agreement with the booker and not with the guest, it should be the booker who must receive the automatic reminder and cancellations. Now, bookings are being canceled automatically (when not reconfirmed before the deadline), without notifying the booker, who did originally receive the confirmation. This is a major flaw of MEWS. The booker should receive automatic reminders and cancellations!

  18. Currently the tasks doughnut on the dashboard displays pending & missed tasks of all assignee's & departments which can make it very confusing.

    Changing the doughnut to only show missed & pending tasks assigned to your or your department will make this doughnut more relevant. The tasks report should then also pre-load with the filters assigned to me or my department. I can then remove/change these filters if I want to see all or other departments/employees.

  19. Configuration setting which allows us to Swop number of adults in reservation screen van low to high.
    By default its set to highest number of users, while our business services predominantly 1 persons in dorm types.
    We notice many wrong bookings are made, since its set by default on 1.

    Could we please get a choice on whether we display 1 adult before 2 adults.

  20. We have some ‘Long stays’ but there is no where we can see the actual number of days they’re staying (without looking at the arrival and departure date and making the maths). It would help if there could be a way of having a number (it could be right next to the reservation dates and inside parentheses) indicating the total room nights of that reservation
