  1. To avoid or at least limit the number of chargebacks, since at the moment the system is not checking the validity of the card used for the reservation, it would be convenient to have the possibility to automate the Payment Request and to be able to configure its sending according to the type of rate (for example, for the NR, sending as soon as we receive the reservation). It would be a more secure method for the payment of the reservation than the automatic payment through Mews, since the client himself carries out the transaction.

  2. Is there a possibility to connect the norwegian payment system VIPPS to MEWS? VIPPS has many different features, and we would need to have it as a realtime payment.

  3. When a guest pay at the hotel by a terminal and it gets declined, its not showing it at Mews as a pop up. I would like a big pop up in mews when a card is declined. I

  4. We should be able to select the payment methods we use and disable those we don't.
    For example, we'd like to disable the “external card payment” payment method, as it doesn't exist on our site. It is a source of error for the team.

  5. For Appart hotels with long-term rental (monthly basis), there is a request of being able to post an external payment that could be named "direct debit".

  6. Accept Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as payments.

    There are some key benefits of Bitcoin, such as a lower cost merchant fee and an inability for guests to execute fraudulent chargebacks as outlined by QuickBooks:

  7. We would like to send a payment confirmation like the ones that are send when a guest paid with their creditcard. Because we also get external payments via our own website with ideal, sofort, wire transfer etc. These guests want to know if their payment has been recieved aswell.

  8. I want to do a deposit for an entire group. But the only way mews is letting me do that is to add it as an item for one person of that group. But then on the invoice it will show only that customer name and room plus 50% deposit for the entire group.
    And only way aparently to add all the room names etc is if i add the item deposit for each separate customer. which for groups of 20 rooms i am not gonna do.

    So would be great if i can either just split a payment or…

  10. Clean and refresh the payment drop-down on the billing screen.

    • Split up Merchant & Terminal
    • Rename Merchant to MewsPay
    • Terminal should be Manual Card Payment (Make it clear with a blue pop-up that its not Mews Terminal! Make it clear)

    Also change the name in the Accounting configuration.

    • Terminal Payment to Manual Card Payments
    • Gateway Payment to MewsPay

  11. Guests who booked non-refundable and paid the room directly via iDEAL instead of creditcard, should not receive any emails regarding their payment verification. This confuses a lot of guests.

  12. We receive a lot of requests to send an UBL format invoice next to the PDF invoice we can already send.

    Preferred to have the option to add an UBL format invoice or to have it automatically added.

    A lot of companies demand these type of invoicing to make sure no errors are made in the payments or accounting department.

It would be great for mews to allow properties to create more external payment methods that we can name what they are e.g. we take a number of different vouchers and we'd like to be able to create external payments that match the name of the voucher names. This would reduce errors with staff.

  17. It should not be possible to invoice payment lines in billing.
    Credit Card payments and refunds can be invoiced atm, but that should not be possible.

  18. Often guests don't tell us that they need a different address on the bill. After a while they tell us over the phone or by email and then it's an absolute pain that we can't overwrite the invoice header.

  19. Pour déclarer une carte invalide sur un OTA il faut donner les 4 derniers chiffres de la carte. Mews n'en montre que 3 pour une amex. Il serait judicieux de modifier vos paramétrages pour que nous puissions en voir 4.

  20. It would be helpfull if there can be added more reasons of payment request.
    For instance :
    Payment for Stay
    Payment for Additional services
    Payment for voucher
    Etc.

    We now have to add a message in with the payment request in order to inform the guests
