Hello Marion,
Actually, you can already do most of this. One way is to make the 4-person room (room 1), a parent of the 2-person room (room 1a). Then, when one of them is booked the other will not be available either.
You can also create a separate space category for room 1a, so you can manage its availability via restrictions separately from the other 2-person rooms. This way, you can even set a slightly higher price for it.
What we would not do is have 2 otherwise unrelated spaces and have availability of one depend on the availability of the other.

That would be good, as we are not able now on mews yo send a proforma invoice for an optional booking. We then have to confirm it to send a proforma, cancel it and re-create as optional.
