    Hi all,

    Thanks to the current feedback, we decided to move back this idea to be upvoted.

    We did release Mews Terminals, however, due to security reasons, we will not store that card for future use.

    Most of the upvotes mentioned that they’d like that functionality – even though the current Mews terminal is a huge step towards automation – providing the possibility to charge or pre-authorize a card without the need to ask a guest to give you card details & where you’d need to type in manually back information to Mews…

    Looking forward to hearing more about this!

    Hi all,


    In case you've missed the update based on your feedback, now Mews releases all automatically preauthorized payments 24 hours after guests leave, providing enough time to deduct any damages or incidentals if necessary, and saving staff from the hassle of manual releases.



    Additionally, when you manually create a new preauthorization for online payments and through your Mews terminal you can now select a specific expiration date up to 28 days later.

    One more update is in the works - that's updating the pre-authorization amount!

    Hi there Mewsers!

    You’ve asked and we’ve listened.

    We upgraded the action log to make it more detailed and easier to use.

    Below are some of the additional details that we’ve added.

    Before, when a reservation moved to a different room, you couldn’t see which room it was in originally—now you’ll always see exactly how the reservation looked before and after each change.

    We’ve enhanced updates for products. You’ll now be able trace for example, the additions of order items as well as the price adjustments made to your products.

    And finally on the pricing side, no need for a calculator! You can now monitor and report on changes to prices with the both net and gross values, as well as the affects the changes you’ve made have on taxes.

    We will continue working on updates to the action log for different sections of the system. Stay tuned for more!
