    Very important to allow a guest to manage their own booking online to either modify or cancel using the Guest Portal. Current option is to contact the hotel direct which is not saving time or labor to process.

    Hello, monthly bookable services in Mews allow you to price your services on monthly basis: you do not have to define price for each night, you price full months and there is only one item (month) instead of 30 items (nights) on the bill.


    In the coming months, the team will focus on improving the functionality for long stays (monthly reservations) and introduce pro-rating, flexible housekeeping and product posting. We are also looking into payments automation via direct debit.

    It would be great to have the flexibility to have daily, weekly or monthly rates for long term stays. For long term stay properties weekly and monthly are a must. For hybrid properties that have a mix of short, weekly and monthly stays a combination of these rates would be helpful. We currently only have daily rates which shows odd monthly rates when months are 28/29/30 and 31 days long.

    It also would be helpful to have these rates available in the Mews booking engine as "Weekly or Monthly" rates as well. Internally, the Mews accounting could break these down to daily rates or use "Rent Roll" so that revenue is posted at the 1st or each month. Thereby, long term stay hotels shows revenue much like apartments.

    Hello,

    phone number can be now set as mandatory – you can do it in Distributor settings. How to open your distributor settings Is described in our help guide https://help.mews.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002246997%22.

    Speaking about nationality – what kind of problem are you trying to solve? Why do you need nationality mandatory?

    It is currently mandatory in Online check-in which is available for all of your guests.

    When exporting to a CSV this comes via email as a Zip file which is not readable. A native or uncompressed CSV file would be preferred or as an option.

    Mirror the Demo Environment with the Live Environment as much as possible. This would really help the teams use the Demo environment to run various scenarios and make it a useful sandbox. Over time, the Live Environment changes and the Demo is forgotten or seldomly used for staff training.

    This is available if you use the Reservation Report, Mode Totals, Filter by Arrival Date, Arrival Time (ex. 4:00 pm) and Departure Time (ex. 11 am, but often I use 6:00 am to avoid early arrivals to be counted in the interval), use the Filter Overlapping to capture Arrivals and Stayovers, then Group by Segment. Keep all Statuses. Remove Options except "Include Space Charges." Net Value. Select Okay. You will now see all the Market Segmentation room nights, ADR and Net Room Revenue.

    The change in preauthorizations was released in 2022, unfortunately, we missed updating its status. 


    Now manually created preauthorizations through Mews Payments can be selected to expire up to 28 days from the creation day. Also, for automatically created preauthorizations Mews releases the preauthorization 24 hours after your property's configured check-out time.     Need some flexibility to have a preauthorization hold longer for more than 7 days when a stay is longer than 7 days. Otherwise, the preauthorization expires new Mews, but is not sent back to the bank unless the preauthorization is cancelled.

    1. Allow the property to determine how long a preauthorization can be held.
    2. When a preauthorization is charged allow the property how long the preauthorization should be held after departure. Some may want 1 day and others 7 days.
    3. Once a preauthorization is charged when the preauthorization is expired, have the release of funds sent to the bank rather than do a manual cancel of the preauthorization.
