  2. Slowly the Chinese market is getting bigger and bigger for Dutch hotels. Not only in Amsterdam, but everywhere in the Netherlands. The most used payment solution are Wechatpay and Alipay. This will bring a great improvement in the guest experience.

  5. SOFORT is a common payment method that arranges the transaction between you and your customer. Very popular in Germany, but also in other countries across Europe. Let us know if you're interested in having this payment method directly integrated into Mews Payments.

  6. Allow guests to spread payments using ClearPay & Klarna when making bookings via the distributor.

    Millions of people in the UK alone use ClearPay & Klarna to spread payments over a number of months.

    It would make Mews seem on-trend with consumer trends.

  7. At times we have reservations from where at the moment of booking the credit card is valid, however it expires prior of their arrival.
    We cannot accept reservations with an expired credit card since we then cannot collect payment. For security reasons we also do not prefer to take cc over the phone or by email. Is there is a way that the guest can get a notification that when they book their stay with us, the credit card will expire prior of arrival and to use a different card.

  9. Possibility to send out e-invoice direct to government bodies

    In NL, Germany, and Poland, most government bodies require the hotel(s) and businesses they work with to e-invoice them. this method is basically an XML-formatted invoice sent to their systems including various fields that automatically recognize details and expedite payment.

    As usual, government bodies are fast paying parties (..) and hence we want to make the process and time spent to send in their invoices as short as possible.

  10. With implementing automatic preauthorizations, there are many more opportunities to automate other payment processes. Within the Guests in house report, properties can check for customers that may still have an outstanding balance. Using this information, we can automatically create preauthorizations for any guests that have an open balance posted to their account. The preauthorizations can be created for a larger amount in case of additional expenses, however, please note that this feature would exclude customers that have a balance due to a future stay, as it would not be necessary for those guests.

  11. Guests get a standard e-mail from mews that they have to fill in their credit card details, while some guests prefer to transfer the money or have paid through a channel as hotels.nl. Can we get an option to fill in if guests are paying with their credit card or otherwise, so not everyone gets the e-mail.

  12. Thank you for the Swiss QR IBAN integration. We need a small change for it because some bank are refusing to accept payments as long es the address of the company is not correct.
    So we would love to get the correct company invoicing address in the QR information on the invoice and not the physical address as it is today.
    (And having an Mews intergrated accounting tool which creates the necessary QR IBAN reference codes would be even more perfect!)

  13. When opening a guest bill in check out, a pop up/alert that tells you something that we can plan in advance, so that we don't need notes somewhere to remind us what to tell the guest.

  16. To avoid or at least limit the number of chargebacks, since at the moment the system is not checking the validity of the card used for the reservation, it would be convenient to have the possibility to automate the Payment Request and to be able to configure its sending according to the type of rate (for example, for the NR, sending as soon as we receive the reservation). It would be a more secure method for the payment of the reservation than the automatic payment through Mews, since the client himself carries out the transaction.

  17. More and more people are ordering things over the internet by just paying with their debit card and using maestro.

    It is time for mews to integrate a system where the guest can immediately pay with a debit card and does not have to worry that he does not have a credit card.

    OTA's are accepting debit cards and the hotels can nothing do with it.

  19. At the moment the only payment method when checking in online is with a credit card. It would be very useful for us in the Netherlands if guests could check-in online with iDEAL and fulfill the payment in advance.
