  1. When we receive a booking from our PMS, a new profile is automatically created. However if we had already blacklisted a profile with the same name, we must think about merging both profile. The idea would be if there is at least one common information (email adress, phone number, CC details), Mews should send us a notification to check if this is the same guest or not, and then we decide to blackist or not with a link available in the email notification.

  2. Many people use customer classifications to keep track of specific types of guests. Although we have a selection available, some of them may not be frequently relevant to some properties' operations. Therefore, the ability to edit or customize these labels may make them more useful for daily tasks and procedures.

  3. On the guest profile there should be a number which shows how often a guest has been in the hotel before

  4. In Austria the registration law wants the adress, id ccard and signature from the main Traveller and the name and date of birth of the fellow passengers. Mews prints and want all the data of each guest. Better would be also for the digital path that the main traveller has the oppurtunity to fill in the data from his self and also int the same form off his fellow travellers

  5. Merging profile with email is fine.
    But we could improve it by merging it on basis of the passport/ID number. This way, a booking.com guest would be merged and seen as a returning guest.

  7. Quite often, we have guests staying who have an title as a prefix to their name (Sir, Dame, Dr,, Prof., Lady, Lord, etc) and we would like the possibility to add this as an official title to the guest profile in addition to the basic Mr. Mrs. and Ms.

    Additionally, as mentioned in another idea as well, adding Mx. or Fam. could be helpful as well.

  8. When entering companions, new and existing customers should be able to be entered in the same field. The first field should search for existing profile and offer the option "News costumer" (as it works well in the main search field).

  9. In many countries, there are multiple official languages, meaning that nationality cannot reliably be used to determine a guest's preferred language for communication. A field for default communication language could then be added to customer profile to ensure consistency in all correspondence and also to prevent guests from receiving messages that they don't understand.

  10. It is about merging guest profiles. As soon as we are merging guest profiles and you choose to keep one profile it takes both addresses. If someone makes a reservation for a year on for example HRS - it takes both. So we also need to delete for exmpl. 60 profiles from the same person which takes ages!

  11. It would be great to have the option of having multiple emails with the account. Some people would like different charges invoiced to different emails (i.e. business card is only paying the room therefore that invoice goes to that email, and a personal email for all other expenses).

    Also another reason is husband and wife might want the invoice sent directly to there email

  12. Would it be possible with the messaging function to have all the messages automatically attached to clients profile?

    Example: A receptionist is chatting with an arriving customer, but finishes his shift before this client arrives, another receptionist may not know/ check the read messages. It would be easier for the staff to have all guest messages attached to their profile.

  13. The system should have a tool to detect automatically similar profiles (same name and surname for example) and propose one by one to merge or not the profile. It could be a big help and time saver for us, as it could take time to detect duplicate profile.

  14. In our regular Guest's profil, we have sometimes 10 times the same credit card because our guests book online.
    Mews should be able to merge credit card in guest's profils if the card is already register. Or at least, we should be able to remove the duplicates.

  15. As we have many returning guests, we need to know which customer belongs to the same family. It would be great to merch Children to their parents and a wife to her husband and visa versa.

    Like this we get to know our guests better and the booking process for future stays will be even easier.

  19. Notes are a huge feature to ease booking management and get a smooth communication between shifts. We use it to clarify bills or past interactions with the guests.

    Notes shouldn't be hiding 2 clicks and a scroll down away from the anywhere into MEWS. They should be easy to access, for example, when we click on a booking in the timeline : "Booking - Group - Notes" should appear. Also Notes should have its own panel within the booking, why at the very bottom ? Thanks !

  20. When guest make reservations via booking.com, expedia... most of the time we only receive a telephone number or address. The e-mail address is in 99% of the cases one generated by the OTA to mask the guests email. Therefore it would be very convenient if Mews would merge profiles based on other similarities as well. This would make it easier to identify guests who have already stayed with us previously.
