  1. The AVS marketplace connection uses the tax identifier to identify the age category of the guest for the local tax. A feature that pre-fills the tax identifier (based on age of the guest) would make the life of hotels that have to use AVS a lot easier.

    For example:
    if guest is an adult, always set XX in tax identifier field.
    if guest has the age of 13-17, always set XY in tax identifier field.

    In 99% of the cases we would leave this untouched, but we would need the possibility to change the field (best case via drop down…

  3. If mews could sell USB camera modules that could be placed next to kiosks/computers for easier Document "Scanning".
    If all documents are the same brightness, distance from the lens it could speed up the scanning procedure.

  4. When a TA uses a generic email address to make a reservation, the new Booker functionality workflow will add the card to the booker (TA), not the actual guest, ending up with an endless list of cards attached to the TA profile.

  5. If you want to make a new reservation for a new travel agent, you first have to create a company profile and then the travel agent contract so you can add the TA to the reservation. For travel agents who only make 1 reservation, this is a big hassle.

    It would be easier if you could do this in 1 go and thus make the TA contract and company profile in 1 flow (while making the reservation itself).

  6. TA contracts are connected to bookable services i.e. they are not shared like companies are. Some properties want to import TA contracts from one bookable service to another, they might work with the same partners in different areas (resort/apartments). Maybe it would be beneficial to allow properties to download and then import this information (maybe CSV format) from one bookable service to another?

  8. Currently, the only notes that can be unselected from the reservation report are the "General Note" from the reservation screen. All Internal Tab Notes from the Customer profile remain visible on the report. Some notes are not meant for all departments or all staff. It would be helpful for Admin to be able to run the reports pertaining to each department without having to overshare notes from the customer's profile.

    Just the way General Note Can be unselected, notes from the Internals tab should have the same flexibility.

  9. hiya, I am trying to assign an existing travel agent to two bookings for a different service (cots). although i can assign the agent to the unit reservations, it will not allow me to assign them to the two other bookings.
    any idea how we can change this?

  10. Why is it not possibile to add a new company to a mother company while creating it? Actually we have to create a new company and afterwards open the company profile again to add a mother company. We need to add the mother company for the statistcs.

  11. Our big company clients have a lot of branch offices all over Europe. Actually it is not possible in Mews to find the right branch office by typing in the name of the company and the city of the branch. Why not? This should be quite easy to be solved and save a lot of time. Furthermore it would avoid creating the same branch office again and again.

  13. We would like to have the guest title appear on the registration card.
    Since we show our guests the data on the registration card upon check-in, some guests have shown complaints that there is no title they have input upon reservation.

  16. Please stop creating several profiles for already existing guests. I know that this is based on the e-mail address and that Booking.com creates a new e-mail address every time a guest makes a new reservation, but this makes it impossible to track who's a regular guest and who's coming back when.

  17. Could you please do something about special characters in the name of the guest ?
    When it's a self check in it can have sometimes special characters and so the order to creat a key on the key encoder is not working.

  19. With the latest functionality updates we do no longer have the company/travel agent vouchers available from the voucher option in Mews when making a new booking.

    Company/Travel agent bookings should now be made without specific voucher and only using the relevant company/travel agent profile.

    IDEA;
    1: Let the hotels be able to enable/disable this functionality! Since this functionality might not be a positive change for all properties.

    2: Provide a drop down so when making a booking you can choose EITHER public/company or Travel agent
