  2. In the information that Mews sends, the booking reference of the BtoB client should be added.

    Indeed, when transmitting an invoice to the BtoB client in order to post the invoice, the BtoB client needs its booking reference. Without this information there is no way for them to post the invoice. This is an obligation for most of the BtoB clients such as HotelBeds, Bookings, Webbeds...

    Nowadays the booking reference information is only included into the API when the invoice is linked to a reservation.

    Nevertheless, Mews allows to create bills to correct invoices. In those cases, no booking reference…

  3. In MEWS GUI, PaymentTab of Customers' profile, we can add external payment and fill "external identifier" field on this external payment.
    But this field is not available uisng API.
    We need it to identify cheque (n° of cheque)

  4. While an actual charge can be done, there is not a way to preauthorize a credit card tokenized within Mews via the Connector API. This would allow for integrations in the US to automatically topup the preauthorization's within Mews.

  5. We are able to create new accounting items (creating an order, adding a product to a reservation) but we cannot "Cancel" those items afterwards.

    We have an integration that creates items and we keep a reference to them, but we don't have the ability to cancel them when our own data requires it, so we get de-synced.

    Would it be possible to have this operation available through Connector API? It is something that can already be done in Mews Commander with the click of a button.

  6. When downloading Accounting Items through the API, it would be very useful to see the original currency and original amounts as well. We have some internal processes, where we need to see the original transaction details.

    One additional "section" in orderItems: OriginalAmount
    One additional "section" in paymentItems: OriginalAmount

    This would also save some round trips with cashier transactions as we would have the needed currency in one run.

  8. We need to see "Guarantee information" sent by the OTAs (especially booking.com) via the channel manager. This data is included in the xml file sent by the channel manager to Mews.

    Without seeing this information receptionist must open the reservation not only in Mews but also in booking.com to make sure whether the guest must pay at the reception or he/she already paid at the OTA and there is a virtual credit card available for the reservation.

  9. Get Customers response requested by guest room key NFC UID

    As POS Operator I want to use a guest room key UID (16 digit Hex code e.g., 803687a2415404) to search for the guest on the POS so that do not have to ask for the guests room number and can use the same method to pay and justify a room posting.

    Given I greet a guest at the Hotel Restaurant when tap the guest room key on my POS mobile device (NFC reader) then the Interface response with customers details base on the guest room key UID.

  11. It would be great if we could get the Confirmed Date from a Reservation out of the API. Mews shows this in their own report(s), but it's not available in the Connector API.

When adding and fetching availability blocks data from Mews via the Connector API, it seems that the CompanyId parameter is missing from the Availability Blocks object, which can be a problem when trying to sync all data and/or when trying to filter or sort availability blocks by Company. Often times, the availability blocks are related to corporate contracts and therefore it is important that a third party system is able to link availability blocks in Mews to a company.   20. Right now, one can fetch all products that have been created/set up under a Bookable or an Additional Service in Mews.

    All information are returned, except for the Accounting Category that has been assigned to the product.

    This creates additional manual work where the property will have to set up the accounting category mapping twice (once in Mews and again in the 3rd party platform - e.g. an Upselling solution), and keep that manually updated in both, or the user has to omit the accounting category setting in the Product in Mews and use the 3rd party platform as the…
