Could the Connector API documentation please give the maximum possible lengths of all string values? It's hard to store responses from the API in a database without knowing how big to make the fields!1 vote

Unfortunately, we are unable to document such limitations as we also rely in certain cases on other 3rd party integrations sending us information. Documenting this would naturally create breaking changes as soon as we need to extend the field sizes.

pre-checked boxes for marketing updates do not constitute valid consent under GDPR. Implementing this option would unfortunately conflict with the law.

We should be able to retrieve and use the guest preferred space features with the customer profile using the API. This would allow the guest to update these information from external integrations and this data could be used to offer customized services according to these preferences, like available spaces to offer in case the guest want to change its assigned space6 votes
Currently, you have BookedSpaceCategoryID in the Reservations extent. Clients are much more interested in, what room did the guest actually stay in.
Technically, we can use the AssignedSpaceID, and go back through the Spaces extent to find out the AssignedSpaceCategoryID, but it would be cleaner if the Reservations extent itself contained both the Booked Category and Stayed Category IDs.2 votes
All this functionality is already enabled in Connector API. Search for AssignedSpaceId; RequestedCategoryId.
Having the ability to pull the Manager's Report in Mews via the Connector API instead of setting up an export schedule.10 votes

You’re able to get your reports through Scheduler or through calculating it based on data provided in Connector API.
Due to performance challenges we are not considering to provide reports via Connector API.

When updating a reservation in Mews, such as the interval, there should be an option included to resend the confirmation email to the guest with the changes.6 votes
This is not currently at our roadmap
Currently accounting items can only be queried by date closed or date consumed. As revenue management systems want to be able to see charges before they are closed, and as consumption dates can essentially be set any time in the past or future, this makes regular scraping of this API call impractical. The call should also allow for setting the time filter as the date the item was created or updated, like with the reservations, so that regular frequent scraping can be performed properly.5 votes
Accounting items can also be pulled via Get all reservations with the extent Items set to true or via Get all reservation items in which if the State (open or closed) is not specified, both will be returned.
Currently most accounting items (aside from those created as part of the initial reservation order) are attached only to the customer, not the reservation. A common part of many revenue management system designs is attaching all charges to the reservations they are associated with, to allow for showing breakdowns of all revenue by things like room types, rate plans, and origin. The Mews dashboard should allow users to associate a charge with a reservation when they create it, so that when all accounting items are queried from the Connector API they can all be easily connected to their corresponding reservation.3 votes
MEWS provides a different approach to billing. Customer owns everything, not the reservation.

Hello. This is not on our roadmap for anytime soon.
Some integrators build self service kiosks, with this extension to the configuration/get endpoint the terms and conditions the property has loaded in to Mews will be returned.1 vote
With this endpoint, integrators would be able to retrieve customer files from Mews such as the registration card which was digitally signed on the Mews Operator.2 votes

This request has not received the necessary upvotes to be added to the Mews development roadmap and is unlikely to be delivered.
Currently, the reservation state can be updated from Optional to Confirmed via the API. Extending this would allow for the state of the reservation to be changed from Confirmed to Optional.3 votes
