We would like to send a payment confirmation like the ones that are send when a guest paid with their creditcard. Because we also get external payments via our own website with ideal, sofort, wire transfer etc. These guests want to know if their payment has been recieved aswell.7 votes

Currently, it’s not possible to send a payment request for alternative payment methods. However, we would like to hear more about which payment methods do you miss from our payment requests feature. We are currently working on the development of alternative payment methods, and it will be very helpful to hear your interest.
When a payment is successful, than the guest receives an e-mail to inform him. Many of them than request the invoice for that amount. Please also send the concerning invoice with the e-mail together.27 votes

SERIOUSLY TO ENTER CARD DETAIL WHICH DOESN'T ACCEPT THE MANUAL ENTRY THEY WILL BE ACCEPTED MY TERMINAL....

Please reach out to your Account Manager and he/she will review your contract and will take a look at what needs to be setup on our side, so you can start accepting mentioned card brands. Apple Pay is a new payment method that your guests will be able to use to pay online in the future, we have started to work on its integration!
Talk to you as soon as this idea is going to be available to everyone.
At times we have reservations from where at the moment of booking the credit card is valid, however it expires prior of their arrival.
We cannot accept reservations with an expired credit card since we then cannot collect payment. For security reasons we also do not prefer to take cc over the phone or by email. Is there is a way that the guest can get a notification that when they book their stay with us, the credit card will expire prior of arrival and to use a different card.24 votes
Mews sends automatically a charge mail to the mail address in the customer profile (for a physical card). But the card holder may be different e.g. a travel agency) and the customer is not supposed to knox the net price. Therefor it would be helpful to have a tick box on the charge screen: "Do not send charge mail to the client".40 votes
the mews does not allow us to get discover card or jcb card while making the reservation but it does gives you the option to find the reservation which had made payment using the discover card or the jcb card?
i mean how and why this makes the procedure more slow and sometimes guest they need to run to get cash.2 votes

We have enabled Discover and JCB for terminal payments, moreover, we have enabled same payment methods for the US market. Due to the limitation of our current payment providers (Stripe), we cannot enable the above-mentioned payment methods in the EU but on the other side, we have recorded your request to our partners and your AM will reach out to you for any further update.
If you’d have any other specific request, feel free to create the additional idea.

It would be so much easier to pull the Merchant payout report if the customers name and surname was linked to it. At the moment i have to pull the payment report and reconcile it with the merchant payout report. It takes up a lot of my time7 votes

View the kind of creditcards (Amex, Mastercard, Visa) on the payout report from the Merchant Balance. And show the total for the costs. So you can check this payout better6 votes

The payment term of stripe is too long, Elavon offers a service of a better quality for cheaper also concerning the bank charges by card. The duration of funds transfer is between one day to two days. Stripe is between 3 days and 7 days of delay. In addition, credit card customer data is not secure at the same level at stripe (Cayman Islands).
We should have the choice to choose another provider following our place of activity. Currently stripe is the only possible option and the service is not up to the expectations of MEWS customers.4 votes

When we collect a payment on the payment screen you have an option to add a note, we use this to note down the transaction details room number and the name of the receptionist. sometimes you can make a mistake and put the wrong room number for example, what we would like will be the function to edit that note so when a mistake is made it can be amended.
This information is later used for generating reports and informing the staff during shift changes.

For offline or online reservations, with balanced bill due to another payment method than CC, the trigger should not try to charge the CC given by the guest.3 votes
