  2. SOFORT is a common payment method that arranges the transaction between you and your customer. Very popular in Germany, but also in other countries across Europe. Let us know if you're interested in having this payment method directly integrated into Mews Payments.

  3. Hello,
    It would save many hotels a lot of time, if you could select many different products at once, instead of having to press on the "cancel" botton in Items. Many hotels has breakfast as a standart product when making a reservation. This has shown to be an issue when there have been made an agreement with a long term guest, who have got the room without breakfast. By adding in a way of cancelling more than 1 item at a time, you would be able to save alot of time.

  4. Allow guests to spread payments using ClearPay & Klarna when making bookings via the distributor.

    Millions of people in the UK alone use ClearPay & Klarna to spread payments over a number of months.

    It would make Mews seem on-trend with consumer trends.

  5. At the moment this is what happens:
    -The guest makes the reservation.
    -The system sends him the confirmation
    -The system sends a second email where it asks to authorize the payment.

    What happens if the guest does not authorize the payment?

    We can cancel the reservation but if the guest will arrive and we will not have the room available for him we would miss our commitment because he will have in his hands our confirmation.

    On the other side, if the guest will make a no-show and we will charge him, the same guest will have the right to…

  6. Please return it back to the old billing screen, right now it is so difficult to split items of the billing. Especially when you are doing the check out and something is wrong.

  7. At the moment Mews drops down a green box saying payment successful even when a payment needs verifying by a guest. This means many verifying payments get missed. I suggest when a payment needs to be verified a blue box drops down and says Payment needs to be verified. This way staff notice this straight away and payment gets verified by the guest then and there.

  9. Guests who booked non-refundable and paid the room directly via iDEAL instead of creditcard, should not receive any emails regarding their payment verification. This confuses a lot of guests.

It would be very helpful if there would be a feature where the guests get a reminder on the day of their departure or the evening before with all extras or other services that still have to be paid. Then a button could be created on which the guests click and enter their payment information and thus pay all outstanding amounts and this would then have to be imported directly into the PMS via a two-way interface.

  12. Accept Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as payments.

    There are some key benefits of Bitcoin, such as a lower cost merchant fee and an inability for guests to execute fraudulent chargebacks as outlined by QuickBooks:

  15. Being so advanced technology we can not run discover credit card unless you have the payment terminal seriously??

    Is this a way of making extra income to sell the terminal for the payment ???

    Your system runs for hotel and In hotel you can not have restrictions on card you need to run all the credit cards.

    But still there is no proper response from mews yet on it.

    We raised this issue like 1 year ago almost........

  17. Slowly the Chinese market is getting bigger and bigger for Dutch hotels. Not only in Amsterdam, but everywhere in the Netherlands. The most used payment solution are Wechatpay and Alipay. This will bring a great improvement in the guest experience.

  20. We should be able to finalize a guest's pre-authorization for the amount of their bill, even if it's more than the original pre-authorization. Mews forces you to charge the original amount, and then perform a second transaction for the remaining balance. This results in two charges on the guest bill, and leaves hotels vulnerable to chargebacks on the second transaction. It's not the standard practice for hotels in the U.S.
