It would be very helpfull to have a option to send a secured payment link to guests or companies, this In order to avoid chargebacks and makes it easier for external companies or persons to pay someones reservation via credit/debit card. This also helps whenever a guest doesnt have the credit card of they room payment with him.

When there's a failed automatic settlement, a task is put into MEWS. I would like different options just than a task, so I could for example also be notified by email. Also, I would like to change the settings for the desk (adjust the deadline and department for example)5 votes
To verify with guest if this is the right card to be charged, show the last digits of the CC on the side of the CC Type Icon near "Charge and Close". This would avoid mistakes and this is also a LQA Standard (Leading Quality Assurance), which is one of the highest and most used hospitality standards.7 votes
When a guest enters new credit card details (for example because we couldn't charge their credit card and asked them to provide another one), it would be helpful if MEWS gave us a notification. We now manually have to check if new details were entered.21 votes

With the possibility of 3D secure payments failing, there is a chance this payment is missed and not followed-up.
It would therefore be convenient to receive a notifcation e-mail of failed 3D secure payments. Alternatively, a task could be set (automated).12 votes

Please develop auto-fill totals for creating pre-authorizations. Right now, if a guest was to extend or modify their reservation in any way, Mews requires you to literally use a calculator to add up the current authorization(s) and subtract it from what is the new total. This get's really messy when these changes happen multiple times. Having that amount needed field auto-filled would be more accurate, and time effective.5 votes

Pre autorization via Stripe is only valid 4 to 14 days but we need to have an automatic renewal of the pre autorization until the day of arrival - so we have secured really the reservation being garanteed. Especially if you have a no show32 votes
With the new EU law coming into place. It would be very helpful to receive an email if a payment is not verified within the 24hours by the guest. (or at least to have the option to opt in/out to receive emails).

Why virtual credit cards are charged 100% in advance, even if they are free cancellation.
It should charge only 1st night as with the others CC, depending on the settlement rules.
