  1. It would be very helpful if there would be a feature where the guests get a reminder on the day of their departure or the evening before with all extras or other services that still have to be paid. Then a button could be created on which the guests click and enter their payment information and thus pay all outstanding amounts and this would then have to be imported directly into the PMS via a two-way interface.

  2. Hi, for some addon/product, Operations needs some time to provide the product to the guests, for example they need to know 24h before the guest checkin. Would it be possible to have an advance purchase for addon please? For example this addon will not be available for booking within 24h before checkin?

  3. Please make the Messages/chatfunction optional or opt-out.
    We don't want to use this tool to communicate since we now have to keep an eye on yet another system. Next to our socials, Whatsapp, mail, phone etc. etc.

  4. Display the description of the Rate Group on the payment page. It is cumbersome to users that the only way to communicate deposit and cancellation policy text is within each and every rate plan. It is not sustainable and lots of opportunity for error. The policy text should be associated with the rate group not the rate plan and should display on the payment page.

  5. Please add an option when you check in a guest that the rooms status changes to the one that the hotel desires. We have the option for checked in rooms to change to dirty. Why can't you add checked in rooms changed to clean?

    As of now you have no function for linen change.

    You have decided that the way linen change is to be used in your system is by having the status dirty on staying guests.

  6. If there is no availability for the requested dates the distributor takes into consideration the days of the week the guest books. For instance, if they choose a weekend stay, it will narrow down on the days of the week that is chosen. This is a default setup but mostly guests would only know alternative dates 1 day before or 1 day after their originally requested dates and now they only get alternative dates for the exact same weekday as they previously requested. That does not make sense as normally guests are flexible to arrive one day before or after.…

  7. Quotation now shares a mail template with optional reservation. They should be separate in order to make good use of the quotation function in commander. Without a separate mail template, the quotation function is worthless in my opinion.

  10. Currently, online checkout is sent at 6 pm PST which is 3 am CET. When a guest arrives anytime after 4 pm PST they receive an online checkout only several hours after they arrive. For guests that arrive after 6 pm PST and have completed an online check-in, they receive an online checkout before they actually arrive which is confusing the guest.

    It would be good to allow the property to pick a specific time to send the Online Check-in and Check-out based upon their specific local times and property preferences. i.e. corporate, convention and leisure guests have different preferences…

  11. Final price in Mews booking engine does not provide enough transparency to guest of what does it consist from. That leads to several problems:

    1. guests complain about additional charges when products are added by product rule on the background
    2. in multi-tax environments, the final price is sometimes inflated by taxes and fees which are added by product rules. Guest is not aware that price already include that which makes properties to look more expensive than competition
    3. In single-tax environments, city taxes are posted as products. In order to stay competitive, property doesn't include them in price. Guests are later complaining…

  12. If one property has no availability, the message order is mixed up. Below the property which has availability, the message “We’re very sorry, there is no availability for the dates you selected.” and a “Please select different dates” button is displayed. Both, the sentence and button should be displayed below the property which does not have availability, else it is confusing for the users.

  13. Booking engine: ability to hide or customise products for certain rates booked, e.g. if package/promotional rate includes free breakfast, full price breakfast product should no longer be available to choose (user journey)

  14. When taking the picture via iphone in portrait mode, it uses EXIF to handle rotations. So in the preview mode it looks ok, but after uploading and redownloading the image is stripped of these information and shown in the incorrect rotation settings.

    There should be library to handle this. I would not suggest trying to solve this from scratch as there are too many scenarios.

    Open Navigator on the iphone.
    Go to your Personal information.
    Tap to change your picture and take a new picture in the potrait mode, upload and save.

  18. We use resort fees at our property and have product rules in place so they are automatically attached to rate groups however this is never displayed on the distributor. It only appears once the reservation has been booked and can seem to some guests as a 'surprise fee' if they do not read the fine print.

    Would be best to have a resort fee option built or be able to include products on distributor without them being displayed as an addition to nightly rate but within the 'Fees and Taxes' section.

    The option to include price in offer does not…

  19. A solution to display room respecting "ADA" (American with Disabilitites Act") nicely on Booking Engine. Currently, you need to create a new room space for each ADA room. It complicates greatly the usability as user see many room type on Booking Engine. You can see a solution on freehandhotels.com booking engine with a tick box "Accessible"
