  2. Currently a guest can only search for dates; checkin and checkout. Some guest have a strong preference for a particular apartment type and they want to know on which dates this apartment type is available. Currently this is not possible. Guest can only try a million times by entering dates and hope it is bookable. The solution can be calendar view or at least provide info on which dates there is the first availability. Apartment 'Superior' is available on July 25'th for 4 nights. With a calendar view (see AirBnb example) it is easy to see the free available spots.…

  3. Would be great if cancellation policies can be added in reservation details mentioned in booking confirmation received by customer.
    Like this, he is fully aware of specific cancellation policies, even if booking directly with hotel via phone or email.

  4. If you have set certain restrictions (MLOS / CTA / CTD / ...) in Mews, it would be nice if the guest can see them in the Distributor. Right now the guest only gets a feedback of no availabilities, which is incorrect in most of the times.
    If the guest could see active restrictions in the calender it would result in not loosing business by showing no availabilty.

  5. Booking engine: ability to hide or customise products for certain rates booked, e.g. if package/promotional rate includes free breakfast, full price breakfast product should no longer be available to choose (user journey)

  7. To place a limit on the number of rooms available to be booked in one go. Many properties consider 9+ rooms a group reservation that has different payment, cancellation and packaging rules. Currently one person could book out the entire hotel before being able to apply a dynamic rate adjustment to increasing occupancy.

  11. The booking engine has a great functionality allowing guests to book in one reservation rooms for different set of dates.
    In the flow of the reservation, however, there isn't a clear call for action, or distinction letting the consumer know that this is an option. Only someone that knows how the booking engine works, would know that it's possible and where the click.
    It would be great if there was clearer path to this functionality, or a call to action before the reservation is confirmed, asking the guest whether they need another reservation for different days, navigating them back to…

  12. As a hotelier, I want to sell packages with special offers to my guests through Distributor.

    Example: Enjoy the Valentine day in our hotel! Weekend stay, romantic dinner for two and a bottle of Champagne for 599 EUR.

    I want these to be sold as packages rather than set up as special rates.
    I want them to look like special offer.
    I want them not to be limited to a specific date.

  13. Offer an automatic upgrade (depending on availability) for guests who are booking through the hotel's website (powered by the Distributor booking engine). So when booking a space category, the guest will get automatically the next best space category (it can not be a +2 categories upgrade).

  14. When viewing the booking engine on mobile, the property name is dropped from view. You can still see a tiny logo, but that's it. Some sort of solution here would be helpful so the booker knows for sure what they're looking at.

    thanks for the feedback. If you wish to modify the header of the booking engine, we recommend using the solution called “Distributor widget” which is basically a booking engine embedded in your web page.   15. In the USA, it is common to have a separate cleaning fee that is billed on top of the rate. Rather than have this blended into the nightly rate, which inflates the rate when a booker is doing comps, we propose that in the latter stages of the booking process fees are itemized along with the taxes.

    With that, the message displayed next to the rate that says "excluding taxes and fees" will then make sense. Right now, it is inaccurate since we're blending cleaning fees into the rate and can only make it known that the fee exists via…

  16. If there is no availability for the requested dates the distributor takes into consideration the days of the week the guest books. For instance, if they choose a weekend stay, it will narrow down on the days of the week that is chosen. This is a default setup but mostly guests would only know alternative dates 1 day before or 1 day after their originally requested dates and now they only get alternative dates for the exact same weekday as they previously requested. That does not make sense as normally guests are flexible to arrive one day before or after.…

  17. Making it possible for contracted companies, which have a voucher code, to make a booking without credit card guarantee. Such companies can usually pay on invoice or upon arrival.
    To do so, Mews would need to allow mapping rates (and not only room categories) in Distributor.

  18. The Mews T&C's need to be accepted by the guest when making a booking via the Mews Distributor. These T&C's are in English, but some guest find that hard to read. It would be great to have this available in local languages.

  20. It should be nice to have a calender drop down list for the arrival and departure date when adding a new booking in the system. Now you have to swipe through the months and takes a lot of time, especially when it´s for reservations for 2022 for example.
