Display alternative availability earlier than same day next week
If there is no availability for the requested dates the distributor takes into consideration the days of the week the guest books. For instance, if they choose a weekend stay, it will narrow down on the days of the week that is chosen. This is a default setup but mostly guests would only know alternative dates 1 day before or 1 day after their originally requested dates and now they only get alternative dates for the exact same weekday as they previously requested. That does not make sense as normally guests are flexible to arrive one day before or after. Please, fix this ! Thanks.

I agree, It would be much more useful to know when the hotel is availlable the soonest and not the same day one week after !
I beleive the customer is looking to stay at a hotel on one date with a couple of days flexibility, not weeks.
We really need this to be changed - we are loosing guest due to this!!!!

100% agree. My guests are traveling last minute during the pandemic and want to see the next available date where my hotel is available. They aren't traveling on a specific date (ex/ Monday) where they want MEWS to show them the next available Monday. It seems that different "next available date" algorithms could be a simple configuration change within MEWS, so both algorithms could be supported.

• is there any possibility to say that Mews always show the next available date ? Some guest can be flexible and depending the hotel strategy, sometimes hotel will make a restriction in order to feel the others dates
• Can we set-up Mews to show next availability for more that 3 weeks ? (for seasonnal winter hotel for exemple, if we are in march, next available date will be on december)

100% for us too. Give the potential guests more option, as guests are also flexible too.

100% agree. It would be great if Distributor showed nearest available dates instead of narrowing down on the exact day of the week the guest searched for. The way it is setup now confuses potential guests, and give the erroneous impression that there is no availability when there very well could be availability X days before or after the original search dates. I'm sure this generates a loss of potential revenue for every hotelier using Mews.
