  1. When guests add a product during online check-in a task is created, we would like to be able to select whether the task creates or not and have the option to disable this automatic task from creating.

  2. Online check-out emails are currently sent at 5pm day before arrival. For properties with high focus on a relaxed luxury experience this has caused negative guest reactions. Ex a guests checks-in at 4.30pm, for a 1 night getaway and on their way to the spa 30min later they get a an email prompting online check-out. Whilst it may seem efficient it might not be a relaxing guest experience.   3. Hi - Self Check in has a maximum amount of times that it is possible to use ?! As it seems. Quote 100 has been reached for a regular guest of ours and he can not use the service anymore. The service self check in not usable anymore for that particular guest staying as often as he does. Is this correct ?

  4. Be able to create custom URLs which can be used on our website, email marketing or when communicating with our guests where we can pre-select certain fields such as their preferred dates, room type, package, number of adults and children etc

  5. As the 'Mail Templates' section is already limited, a lot of HTML and other code is needed for the formatting of emails. Please give us the option within the Mail Templates section to send a test email to a custom email address.

  6. Online check-out rules to be changed to allow higher adoption rates:

    • Allow hotels to set time for 'online check-out invitation' email

    Currently online check-out is sent at 17h00 on the day before check-out. Guests arriving after 17h00 (majority in many corporate destinations) and only staying 1 night don't receive the email invite due to this fixed time

    • Allow guest profiles with "company" attached to their profile to check-out online. Currently not possible according to your team due to strict taxation rules? I don't see why this should be a problem. And it's specifically "corporate guests" who want to avoid lines…

  7. Currently the QR code is automatically attached to confirmation email and cannot be removed. It's confusing for our guests as they don't know why we have this attachment on their confirmation email.
    An hotel can prefer to communicate about their online check-in than checking in on a Kiosk. I would prefer if you could hotel choose.

    Hi Mewsers!
    You can now disable the QR code from all guest-facing emails through the Settings.

    To do so, please navigate to Settings > Services > Stay > Options and make sure that you don’t have “Enable QR code in emails” option selected.

    If the option is disabled, placeholder in the body email is ignored and won’t be shown in the email body, neither the QR code attachment.

  8. As it seems, the QR code is only readable from Ipones (IOS) and not readable on Androids at the moment. Since Android still has a huge marketshare, this would be a big improvement for guests and hosts.

    Hello from the Mews product team and thank you for your suggestion! We can confirm that email is an optional field in Kiosk (formerly Operator) as well as during the Online Check-in. So guests are able to skip entering the email for any children in their group.

  10. Final price in Mews booking engine does not provide enough transparency to guest of what does it consist from. That leads to several problems:

    1. guests complain about additional charges when products are added by product rule on the background
    2. in multi-tax environments, the final price is sometimes inflated by taxes and fees which are added by product rules. Guest is not aware that price already include that which makes properties to look more expensive than competition
    3. In single-tax environments, city taxes are posted as products. In order to stay competitive, property doesn't include them in price. Guests are later complaining…

  11. Currently customer added email can be disabled only in GA, for all guest. If a property is using a third party integration for guest journey (for certain guests), it would create duplicate emails and guest will receive too many mails.
    Would it be feasible to decide for each reservation if customer added email should be sent?

  13. At the moment, when the Guest is making the online check-in, the email address from the OTA (not the real email address) is already populated. THe guest should be obliged to introduce his real email address.

  14. If there is no availability for the requested dates the distributor takes into consideration the days of the week the guest books. For instance, if they choose a weekend stay, it will narrow down on the days of the week that is chosen. This is a default setup but mostly guests would only know alternative dates 1 day before or 1 day after their originally requested dates and now they only get alternative dates for the exact same weekday as they previously requested. That does not make sense as normally guests are flexible to arrive one day before or after.…

It would be very helpful if there would be a feature where the guests get a reminder on the day of their departure or the evening before with all extras or other services that still have to be paid. Then a button could be created on which the guests click and enter their payment information and thus pay all outstanding amounts and this would then have to be imported directly into the PMS via a two-way interface.

  17. For Non Refundable Bookings or bookings with a payment at confirmation, refuse bookings for which payment has failed.

    Currently, bookings are accepted with failed payments and only a settlement task in created. This leads to excess admin for bookings that provide no income.

  18. If you have the before start template set-up, this is triggered to be send 48h prior to arrival. However, if guests make a reservation 24h in advance, this template will not be send. It would be better if this template is send to all new reservation made within the 48h window as well. Because it is not logical that only guests who booked earlier in advance receive necessary information for their stay.

  19. On Google's paid networks: Search, Display and YouTube and I want to track conversions (e.g., which ads convert into confirmed bookings).

    A better approach to tags is allowing placement of Google Ads' conversion tracking code directly into Mews: 1) Booking confirmation page, and 2) Newsletter sign-up confirmation page.

    Beyond sales, tracking conversions for newsletter sign up is necessary too. For example, I can predict how much it will cost me to generate X amount of newsletter sign-ups with enough historical data. If my historical average is $3 per newsletter sign-up over 12 months, I know it will cost me about $1,000 to…

  20. the property "The Olive boutique and spa" was thinking about uploading a video/GIF in the booking engine to show the customers more about the space. I found it interesting as we are striving to increase the Mews Booking Engine and therefore, the merchant usage.
