  1. From a revenue perspective rates per night should be mentioned on the confirmation email not just the total amount of the stay (if guests shorten their stay)

  2. Mail templates are currently editable and customizable using HTML within Commander. Although this allows for quite a lot of customization options, it is restricted to those who are more familiar with using HTML. Introducing a preview button or test email functionality could help properties greatly, as they could then see exactly what the final product will look like while they finalize their email formatting.

    It's also important for being able to track the correspondence which was sent out to guests.

    Hi Mewsers,
    we just enabled the partial customization of the Before start email which is sent 48 hours before guest’s arrival.

    You can now add personalized details, such as specific arrival information or keep guests informed on your social distancing policies and encourage them to check in online.

  4. At the moment, when the Guest is making the online check-in, the email address from the OTA (not the real email address) is already populated. THe guest should be obliged to introduce his real email address.

  5. For properties with AutoCheck-in we need the booker to be able to fill in the data of all guests as some of them (old people and children) don't have email address to complete the compulsory data of the registration cards.

  7. To place a limit on the number of rooms available to be booked in one go. Many properties consider 9+ rooms a group reservation that has different payment, cancellation and packaging rules. Currently one person could book out the entire hotel before being able to apply a dynamic rate adjustment to increasing occupancy.

  8. As many guests utilize online check-in before arrival, it is currently designed to ask for only legally required details as part of the form. Many properties, however, would prefer to collect specific pieces of data that may not be included as part of that legal obligation. For this reason, implementing optional or customizable fields for online check-in would help properties to prioritize the data that is valuable to them.

Guests often have special requests as they make reservations, however when they receive confirmation emails with a summary of their booking details, these special requests are not included as part of those details. Therefore, adding an additional line to confirmation emails could include any additional notes that apply to those reservations, so the guests know that their requests have been received.

  12. Is there a possibility to modify the online check in somehow? We got a feedback from one guest that it would be nice to have a possibility to choose gender neutral as a sex and not only male and female. Or can we get the sex question off somehow? Thanks for the help!

  13. When using voucher code, only display voucher rate attached to it.
    The use case: sometimes the rate attached to the voucher code can be actually more expensive than the standard rate (corporate rate) and customer should not see the cheaper ones.

  14. Option to send a confirmation without rates. We have a lot of companies that book rooms for their guests. They, understandably, don't want their guest to know the price that was paid for the room. Now we have to make manual confirmation for these companies to forward to their guest.

  15. Guest are currently required to insert payment card during online check-in. This sometimes causes problems with double-charges in case the guest's reservation is prepaid by agency and staff latter on accidentally charges the guest card for stay. It also raises questions and mistrust of guests for online check-in and prevents them from finishing it.

    Another case:

    If "mandatory credit card" rules could be based on ratecode or rate category.
    When we have a guest that is staying complimentary/using a gift voucher or company is paying, that guest is currently still required to enter their creditcard details as part of the…

  16. As guests complete their personal details during online check-in, this is a great time to ask if they might have any special requests or preferences. With an additional field, guests could then add any important information, which would then be automatically added to their guest profile so that property staff can prepare accordingly before they arrive.

  17. Many users have experienced trouble with the datepickers available in Mews Navigator and Distributor. Rather than selecting years from a dropdown or typing it in a field, it is currently required that users scroll back to the correct year before they are able to select the correct month and date. Implementation of more user-friendly datepickers could both eliminate confusion and frustration, making date selection much easier.

  18. Estimated time arrival will be nice for guest and property too because they could now when they will be more bussy. Guests could easily choose ETA in online check-in process (or booking process too). The property will have information when a guest arrives in the hotel. This could be integrated within Commander as well - like a statistic, list of guest sorted by time etc.

  19. Making it possible for contracted companies, which have a voucher code, to make a booking without credit card guarantee. Such companies can usually pay on invoice or upon arrival.
    To do so, Mews would need to allow mapping rates (and not only room categories) in Distributor.
