  2. Our property deals with people who smoke inside the hotel rooms. It doesn't matter that they don't smell cigarettes inside of the room, nor that there is no ashtray.

    We used to require agreement with non-smoking policy on registration cards, however when the guest does check-in via Operator, it is not possible.

    We wish to have a special screen, where the guest has to agree that there is a penalty in case of smoking inside of the room.

  3. If there is no availability for the requested dates the distributor takes into consideration the days of the week the guest books. For instance, if they choose a weekend stay, it will narrow down on the days of the week that is chosen. This is a default setup but mostly guests would only know alternative dates 1 day before or 1 day after their originally requested dates and now they only get alternative dates for the exact same weekday as they previously requested. That does not make sense as normally guests are flexible to arrive one day before or after.…

    What about a list of awaiting arrival like in commander ?

  9. Please make the Messages/chatfunction optional or opt-out.
    We don't want to use this tool to communicate since we now have to keep an eye on yet another system. Next to our socials, Whatsapp, mail, phone etc. etc.

  10. Guest can use the channel of his choice to start communication with the property. (Email, Mews chat, OTA chat, WhatsApp, Messenger). The property receives and replies to all messages in one place - in Mews. The room for error is minimized as all conversation happens at 1 place. Answering is also faster.

  11. Allow the guest to attach a copy of the passport at online check-in.

    This feature would allow the guest to have a quicker check-in because the passport would be validated in advance by reception.

  12. The main booker of a company always wants to receive a confirmation email with all of the guest names now the main booker only sees a reservation number of all reservations

  13. When I enter my last name and confirmation number and the room to which I am assigned is not ready, I get the error message that I should come back later. Better solution would be if the tablet can automatically reassign the guest into different room of the same space category, which is ready to be used.

  14. Link Distributor directly to Hotjar so we can see how guests are engaging within the booking engine. At the moment because Distributor works on iFrames and not via a url link heatmaps and recordings stop when a guest enters the booking process.

  15. We need to send automated booking-modification emails triggered based on data updates that may affect the stay cost: dates, rates, room types, number of adults, children... and for which the subject is clearly mentioned as a Modification confirmation email

  17. 99% of guests in the US and Canada do not travel with their passport. Therefore Mews ID scanner doesn't work in this region. Properties are looking for ways to automate their check-in and checking ID/Driver's License is absolutely crucial.

    Scanning IDs and DLs is a needed feature in North America.

    Properties should also be able to make this a mandatory step if a guest wants to check in on a kiosk.

    Hey Mewsers, Good News! We started working on your feature request. We are investigating solutions that enable US, Canadian and other IDs to be scanned through the Kiosk. Please look for further updates in the coming months as this is a technically complex request.

    Hello,

    thank all of you for picking up this topic – this feature has been released two weeks ago.

    You can find this option in Settings > Stay > Operator configurations and “Options” section.

    If you remove “Balance check enabled” tag, save and reboot tablet, all guests will be able to do checkin even with unpaid booking. And it doesn’t matter if credit card is attached to profile or not.

    We are looking forward see your feedback on this and see, how we can improve this next time.
