  1. Would be great if cancellation policies can be added in reservation details mentioned in booking confirmation received by customer.
    Like this, he is fully aware of specific cancellation policies, even if booking directly with hotel via phone or email.

  2. For chain properties, it may be useful to set up only one configuration to enable booking at any of your properties. Expansion of distributor configuration could enable this functionality and ease the booking process for guests who may be interested in staying at multiple locations.

  3. At the moment when an optional reservation is made for a guest manually, the guest will receive an email from MEWS and they can just click on Confirm or Cancel.

    When they Click on Confirm the optional reservation is immediately confirmed in MEWS but no credit card details are requested to guarantee the reservation.

    We want the system to only give the guest the possibility to Confirm the reservation once they have inserted their credit card details first.

    Hello, I have some good news from Mews Distributor! We have just released “required phone number” functionality.

    Need to contact your customers? Make phone numbers mandatory in your Distributor booking engine.

    You can now decide if the Telephone field in the Distributor booking engine is required for customers. Update your Distributor configurations to enable this feature.

  8. It will be great if there will be the possibility of creating new email templates that we can send manually to any reservation that we want. This will save us a lot of time for example for all the reservations we have to charge with POS and the credit card is denied, we have send an email manually one by one in each case. It will be much easier if we can create new email templates on our own for cases like this.

    If you wish to make your logo in the booking engine clickable, we recommend using the solution called “Distributor widget” which is basically a booking engine embedded in your web page.

  10. We have 2 beach resorts on the same beach and we combine them into one distributor booking engine.

    The background image on the first page (select date) is of some random city. It looks ridiculous and is definitely killing conversion.

    I have been told we cannot change this.
    Surely a plain white background would be preferable to this generic cityscape which will suit probably one in 20 propertys or less.
    Really annoyed about this as when we started using this combined booking engine for 2 property's this picture was not there its just been added.

  11. Integrate with fysical payment terminal. We do not always have credit card information from clients booking trough a OTA. At arrival they have to pay citytax and it's not possible trough the operator right now.
    With a payment terminal integration 100% of our guest can make use of the self check-in

    Hey Mewsers, Good News! We started working on your feature request. We are investigating solutions that enable driver's licences to be scanned through the Kiosk. Please look for further updates in the coming months as this is a technically complex request.
  13. We are having a lot of discomfort with the tone of voice and content of the email that gets send out automatically after booking, and thus being the first email that guests receive after they make a booking. The mail starts with "At <PropertyName>, we are dedicated to your leisure..."

    This email cannot be disabled, nor can it be edited to OUR tone of voice. As our property isn't actively using online check-ins, this is for our guests a pointless email. (except for the GDPR notification) After this mail, we are still forced to send a confirmation mail, upselling mail…

    Good news! You can now request disabling of the “Customer added” email (also known as “Account created”) through our Support.

    Based on several feedback sessions with many of you this solution is looking to be the best one (comparing to e.g. email customization).

  14. We have a large amount of room types that have King beds capable of being converted into Twin configuration. Rather than choosing a set amount of rooms to sell as "Twin" we would prefer to make it an OPTION for the guest to choose their bed configuration. That way the full quantity of splittable beds is available to sell on our booking engine. Additionally, from an operational perspective we know 100% which bed configuration guests require. Splitting beds (or combining them to a King) is very labour intensive and has cost implications from a linen/bedding perspective. Having clear options at…

    Hello,

    phone number can be now set as mandatory – you can do it in Distributor settings. How to open your distributor settings Is described in our help guide https://help.mews.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002246997%22.

    Speaking about nationality – what kind of problem are you trying to solve? Why do you need nationality mandatory?

    It is currently mandatory in Online check-in which is available for all of your guests.

  17. We would like to reply with automatic messages to direct guest messages, to make sure our guests are not waiting for an answer too long. This would come in handy during the weekends, when no one is in the office.

    Another option would be to have the option to shut down the chat function completely or to be notified by an email.

  18. Properties are looking for more personalized experience. It's important to collect information such as allergies, personal preferences, arrival time, etc.

    It would be great if there was a flexibility to add additional fields in the booking engine (arrival, allergies, preferences, occasion for the stay) and give properties flexibility to collect this important data from their guests at the time of booking.

  19. A solution to display room respecting "ADA" (American with Disabilitites Act") nicely on Booking Engine. Currently, you need to create a new room space for each ADA room. It complicates greatly the usability as user see many room type on Booking Engine. You can see a solution on freehandhotels.com booking engine with a tick box "Accessible"
