  1. during check in (at reception, kiosk or online) there need to be the option to fill in the business address.
    At the moment there is only the possibility to add the personal address.
    (online and at Kiosk this could be an option which is available regarding the purpose of stay - available if business)

Guests often have special requests as they make reservations, however when they receive confirmation emails with a summary of their booking details, these special requests are not included as part of those details. Therefore, adding an additional line to confirmation emails could include any additional notes that apply to those reservations, so the guests know that their requests have been received.

  4. Option to send a confirmation without rates. We have a lot of companies that book rooms for their guests. They, understandably, don't want their guest to know the price that was paid for the room. Now we have to make manual confirmation for these companies to forward to their guest.

  8. Final price in Mews booking engine does not provide enough transparency to guest of what does it consist from. That leads to several problems:

    1. guests complain about additional charges when products are added by product rule on the background
    2. in multi-tax environments, the final price is sometimes inflated by taxes and fees which are added by product rules. Guest is not aware that price already include that which makes properties to look more expensive than competition
    3. In single-tax environments, city taxes are posted as products. In order to stay competitive, property doesn't include them in price. Guests are later complaining…

  9. Currently a guest can only search for dates; checkin and checkout. Some guest have a strong preference for a particular apartment type and they want to know on which dates this apartment type is available. Currently this is not possible. Guest can only try a million times by entering dates and hope it is bookable. The solution can be calendar view or at least provide info on which dates there is the first availability. Apartment 'Superior' is available on July 25'th for 4 nights. With a calendar view (see AirBnb example) it is easy to see the free available spots.…

    Can a different background be placed per hotel there?Now guests see large buildings. This has nothing to do with our company!

  11. For Non Refundable Bookings or bookings with a payment at confirmation, refuse bookings for which payment has failed.

    Currently, bookings are accepted with failed payments and only a settlement task in created. This leads to excess admin for bookings that provide no income.

  13. Many users have experienced trouble with the datepickers available in Mews Navigator and Distributor. Rather than selecting years from a dropdown or typing it in a field, it is currently required that users scroll back to the correct year before they are able to select the correct month and date. Implementation of more user-friendly datepickers could both eliminate confusion and frustration, making date selection much easier.

  14. As a hotelier, I want to sell packages with special offers to my guests through Distributor.

    Example: Enjoy the Valentine day in our hotel! Weekend stay, romantic dinner for two and a bottle of Champagne for 599 EUR.

    I want these to be sold as packages rather than set up as special rates.
    I want them to look like special offer.
    I want them not to be limited to a specific date.

  15. Making it possible for contracted companies, which have a voucher code, to make a booking without credit card guarantee. Such companies can usually pay on invoice or upon arrival.
    To do so, Mews would need to allow mapping rates (and not only room categories) in Distributor.

  17. Currently the QR code is automatically attached to confirmation email and cannot be removed. It's confusing for our guests as they don't know why we have this attachment on their confirmation email.
    An hotel can prefer to communicate about their online check-in than checking in on a Kiosk. I would prefer if you could hotel choose.

    Hi Mewsers!
    You can now disable the QR code from all guest-facing emails through the Settings.

    To do so, please navigate to Settings > Services > Stay > Options and make sure that you don’t have “Enable QR code in emails” option selected.

    If the option is disabled, placeholder in the body email is ignored and won’t be shown in the email body, neither the QR code attachment.

  18. We're facing difficulties in some properties where under aged guests are checking in online. There should be a way to stop those online check in. At the moment they could just pick up the key on the operator kiosk and go to the room. Therefore we would accommodate them, without knowing they are under the allowed age, which is against the law. We do have the responsibility to control the age of the guest. This already happened and cause complains and frustrations on hotel and guest side.

  19. Mews sends automatically a charge mail to the mail address in the customer profile (for a physical card). But the card holder may be different e.g. a travel agency) and the customer is not supposed to knox the net price. Therefor it would be helpful to have a tick box on the charge screen: "Do not send charge mail to the client".

  20. Many clients have chosen to enable several payment types as part of their daily operations. For this reason, they would also like to allow guests to pay using the same list of accepted payment methods when booking online via Mews Distributor and also on site at the property.

    We are so pleased to let you know that iDEAL is now available as the first alternative payment method in our booking engine. And we don’t plan to stop here. :-) We are currently discovering other payment options. Stay tuned!

    Do you want to activate iDEAL? Then follow this guide: https://help.mews.com/en/articles/5179046-enable-ideal-as-an-alternative-payment-method.

    Once the above is done, your guests will see iDEAL as a payment method in the booking engine, payment requests & online check-out. You can take advantage of convenient, automated payment processing with a real-time overview and central reconciliation.
