  1. After the last upgrade of mews. It is not possible to extend an upgraded person in the upgraded category as Mews moves the booking to the originally booked room (regardless if blocked or not )

  2. As a hotelier, I want to sell packages with special offers to my guests through Distributor.

    Example: Enjoy the Valentine day in our hotel! Weekend stay, romantic dinner for two and a bottle of Champagne for 599 EUR.

    I want these to be sold as packages rather than set up as special rates.
    I want them to look like special offer.
    I want them not to be limited to a specific date.

  3. Offer an automatic upgrade (depending on availability) for guests who are booking through the hotel's website (powered by the Distributor booking engine). So when booking a space category, the guest will get automatically the next best space category (it can not be a +2 categories upgrade).

  5. When a new guest file is created, the following mail is automatically sent to the guest. From my point of view there are the following possibilities for improvement:
    - The mail should be written more individually (ex. salutation and other text). It would be helpful if there is a separate template for this.
    - If the Pre-Arrival Mailing is activated, then the guest gets several mails. It would therefore be helpful if the reference to the new guest index is inserted in the pre-arrival mail.

  6. It would be neat if the guests were able to check in on the kiosk and get their pin code there.

    Hey Mewsers, Good News! We started working on this and the ability to store PIN Codes will be available soon.

    This next development iteration is for us to be able to receive and store it and for our integration partners to be able to retrieve it.

  7. If you have the before start template set-up, this is triggered to be send 48h prior to arrival. However, if guests make a reservation 24h in advance, this template will not be send. It would be better if this template is send to all new reservation made within the 48h window as well. Because it is not logical that only guests who booked earlier in advance receive necessary information for their stay.

  8. Recently Mews released the "MewsPassportScan" the feature is great! but we feel like its incomplete, if you have used it before, you will agree.

    The feature allows you to scan the guests passport with the webcam of the computer, this then populates the passport fields with one click making the process way smoother, HOWEVER!!!!

    If you have more than one attendant on a booking this feature flaws massively, as you have to create individual user profiles for the additional guests ONE BY ONE!

    This means that from 1 click one guest, it turns in to 8 clicks per guest profile.…

  9. The ability to send out customized emails based on the day of the week a guest is arriving.

    As a hotel that offers different events and tours during the week, we want to be able to notify a guest prior to their arrival with information that is pertinent to their stay & experience only.

    Ie:
    Guest is arriving monday.
    They get email telling them about Monday Night Event, Tuesday Day Event, Tuesday Evening Event.

    Guest arriving on Wednesday.
    They get email telling them about Wednesday Night Event, Thursday Day Event, Thursday Evening Event.

  10. Quotation now shares a mail template with optional reservation. They should be separate in order to make good use of the quotation function in commander. Without a separate mail template, the quotation function is worthless in my opinion.

  11. When viewing the booking engine on mobile, the property name is dropped from view. You can still see a tiny logo, but that's it. Some sort of solution here would be helpful so the booker knows for sure what they're looking at.

    thanks for the feedback. If you wish to modify the header of the booking engine, we recommend using the solution called “Distributor widget” which is basically a booking engine embedded in your web page.   12. In the USA, it is common to have a separate cleaning fee that is billed on top of the rate. Rather than have this blended into the nightly rate, which inflates the rate when a booker is doing comps, we propose that in the latter stages of the booking process fees are itemized along with the taxes.

    With that, the message displayed next to the rate that says "excluding taxes and fees" will then make sense. Right now, it is inaccurate since we're blending cleaning fees into the rate and can only make it known that the fee exists via…

  13. If there is no availability for the requested dates the distributor takes into consideration the days of the week the guest books. For instance, if they choose a weekend stay, it will narrow down on the days of the week that is chosen. This is a default setup but mostly guests would only know alternative dates 1 day before or 1 day after their originally requested dates and now they only get alternative dates for the exact same weekday as they previously requested. That does not make sense as normally guests are flexible to arrive one day before or after.…

  15. It would be welcome to add soms extra text in the confirmation email. So if you make a booking over the phone you can add extra text in the confirmation email regarding the client's booking.

  18. When sending a confirmation e-mail to booker I see strange information:
    I see a line called "owner": owner of what. In most hotels there are guests staying in hotel, not owners.
    Owner of what ?
    Same "mistake" is seen in other languages.
    Please allow that hotel changes widget or do keeping in mind that our business is about people and things. Thank you.

  19. Making it possible for contracted companies, which have a voucher code, to make a booking without credit card guarantee. Such companies can usually pay on invoice or upon arrival.
    To do so, Mews would need to allow mapping rates (and not only room categories) in Distributor.

  20. The Mews T&C's need to be accepted by the guest when making a booking via the Mews Distributor. These T&C's are in English, but some guest find that hard to read. It would be great to have this available in local languages.
