  1. When a customer enters a Voucher code there are both - corporate/private and public rates.
    It is not possible to evaluate how many guests have booked a public rate instead of a private one they had access to.

  3. Hello,

    As of October 14, 2020, Google introduced new default property called Google Analytics 4 (GA4). If you would like to connect it with mews through Google Tag Manager (GTM), it is not possible to follow the exact settings as it was when setting the previous version of Google Analytics ( Universal analytics - UA).

    I am asking you if you can add an additional article or paragraph to your online documentation related to MEWS connection with GA4 through GTM.

  4. For Group bookings (with a different distributor) we would want to let them book a single or shared room without having to book a certain room. It would be handy to choose which room category or type is visible per distrtibutor. Now guests have to book their stay by choosing a room reservation which is unhandy for us.

  5. When taking the picture via iphone in portrait mode, it uses EXIF to handle rotations. So in the preview mode it looks ok, but after uploading and redownloading the image is stripped of these information and shown in the incorrect rotation settings.

    There should be library to handle this. I would not suggest trying to solve this from scratch as there are too many scenarios.

    Open Navigator on the iphone.
    Go to your Personal information.
    Tap to change your picture and take a new picture in the potrait mode, upload and save.

  6. As mews terminals are not available in all countries it is very important for us to arrange payment during check-in process with Kiosk please allow other external payment terminal integrations with mews/kiosk

  7. It should be nice to have a calender drop down list for the arrival and departure date when adding a new booking in the system. Now you have to swipe through the months and takes a lot of time, especially when it´s for reservations for 2022 for example.

  8. Guests complain sometimes that there are too many e-mails before arrival. When we ask, was there anything they found really unnecessary, they often refer to payment receipt e-mail. It doesn't even include the invoice. When booking, they accept the terms and know the payment will be taken from cc. Mostly they have also instant notification from bank to phone. Can we make this e-mail optional, please? Would be perfect if client can choose this option.

  9. The booking engine has a great functionality allowing guests to book in one reservation rooms for different set of dates.
    In the flow of the reservation, however, there isn't a clear call for action, or distinction letting the consumer know that this is an option. Only someone that knows how the booking engine works, would know that it's possible and where the click.
    It would be great if there was clearer path to this functionality, or a call to action before the reservation is confirmed, asking the guest whether they need another reservation for different days, navigating them back to…

  10. It will be great if there will be the possibility of creating new email templates that we can send manually to any reservation that we want. This will save us a lot of time for example for all the reservations we have to charge with POS and the credit card is denied, we have send an email manually one by one in each case. It will be much easier if we can create new email templates on our own for cases like this.

  12. Would it be possible to charge or show the guests only the amount of the current stay. This is specially a request for the Mews Operator. The guests shouldn´t see any old or future payments.

We have been unable to replicate the behaviour mentioned for future payments and the past payments is important to ensure the guest's balance is resolved. Thank you for sharing your suggestions.
  13. It would be welcome to add soms extra text in the confirmation email. So if you make a booking over the phone you can add extra text in the confirmation email regarding the client's booking.

  14. It would be neat if the guests were able to check in on the kiosk and get their pin code there.
    Or have the pin code display directly in Mews.

  15. When viewing the booking engine on mobile, the property name is dropped from view. You can still see a tiny logo, but that's it. Some sort of solution here would be helpful so the booker knows for sure what they're looking at.

  16. If a property works heavily with packages, the confirmation clients receive are not aesthetically pleasing. All products are listed in the confirmation and it is not ideal.

  18. To be able to choose which fields are visible in the reservation confirmation. It would be great to uncheck some of the values, such as rate name or product for certain costumers, but currently you can only delete the entire row (reservation detail) which is not an option.

  19. Allow the guest to attach a copy of the passport at online check-in.

    This feature would allow the guest to have a quicker check-in because the passport would be validated in advance by reception.

  20. We use the Mews messages for some internal announcements.

    It would be great it there is an option to delete (internal) messages threads and to remove members from the thread.
