  1. In the "Categories" screen there is always a "Maximum persons" info below the room name.
    For beds this always shows "Maximum persons: 1", which is quite confusing for a lot of guests. - It looks like there is only 1 bed left.
    Could you remove this info? Or is it possible to enable/disable this information by ourselves?

  2. Would be nice to be able to remind the guests to check-out online via mews mailing. This way, if the guest leaves, we can prompt them to click the link and settle their account instead of calling them to chase payment

  3. It would be great to have the option of having multiple emails with the account. Some people would like different charges invoiced to different emails (i.e. business card is only paying the room therefore that invoice goes to that email, and a personal email for all other expenses).

    Also another reason is husband and wife might want the invoice sent directly to there email

  4. Currently the QR code is automatically attached to confirmation email and cannot be removed. It's confusing for our guests as they don't know why we have this attachment on their confirmation email.
    An hotel can prefer to communicate about their online check-in than checking in on a Kiosk. I would prefer if you could hotel choose.

    Hi Mewsers!
    You can now disable the QR code from all guest-facing emails through the Settings.

    To do so, please navigate to Settings > Services > Stay > Options and make sure that you don’t have “Enable QR code in emails” option selected.

    If the option is disabled, placeholder in the body email is ignored and won’t be shown in the email body, neither the QR code attachment.

The software in Mews that reads ID data works much better than the one that does the same work in the kiosk app. In the kiosk app you have to enter some of the data manually, which is not necessary when scanning ID in Mews. The only problem with scanning the ID in Mews is that the system cannot find the camera it needs right away.

    Hey Mewsers, Good News! We started working on your feature request to improve the success rate of document scanning through Kiosk. It is a little complex to resolve, so please keep an eye out for further updates as it progresses.
  6. Under Internals there is currently only one Classification to select and that is 'Loyalty program'.

    This is too generic, and doesn't indicate which program the member belongs to (Accor has three distinct loyalty programs) as well as which membership tier or level the guest is currently at (are they entry-level or a mega VIP platinum or diamond member)?

    I would like to recommend that on the Profile screen that Files and Merge be moved down and a dedicated section for Loyalty be added, that can be fully customisable to the hotel's needs. This way we can have all programs and…

  7. As it seems, the QR code is only readable from Ipones (IOS) and not readable on Androids at the moment. Since Android still has a huge marketshare, this would be a big improvement for guests and hosts.

  8. When sending a confirmation to a booker, the name of the guest does not appear on the confirmation letter but only the reservation number. This does not look professional at all and we receive many complaints by our guests. They feel like they are a number and not a guest.

  9. 99% of guests in the US and Canada do not travel with their passport. Therefore Mews ID scanner doesn't work in this region. Properties are looking for ways to automate their check-in and checking ID/Driver's License is absolutely crucial.

    Scanning IDs and DLs is a needed feature in North America.

    Properties should also be able to make this a mandatory step if a guest wants to check in on a kiosk.

    Hey Mewsers, Good News! We started working on your feature request. We are investigating solutions that enable US, Canadian and other IDs to be scanned through the Kiosk. Please look for further updates in the coming months as this is a technically complex request.
  10. Show the guest that their promotional code had worked right when they put it in the booking engine

    The guest enters the promotion code, then the next page, they are choosing a category, but it doesn’t show the promotional rate until the following page.
    If the promotional rate didn’t work, the guest wouldn’t know. When the guest puts in the promotional code - there should be something that indicates, "this worked!"

  11. The Sign in image set under "Property" (seen in the guest portal) is also the image shown as background in the Booking Engine.
    We want the option to set different Pictures.

    Sign In image looks best in 640x800 while Booking engine background looks best in fullscreen (1080x1920).

  12. Possibility to show on the booking engine ONLY the rooms available to book once a date has been selected and not show the one already booked and not available anymore.
    From a sales point of view, we would rather show the rooms we sell and not the one we already have sold.
    If a visitor on our website wish to book a specific room type, which in this case is not available anymore, he will most likely book somewhere else. It does not add any value to our property to show the guest what is already fully booked.

  13. When you are in the booking engine, the property logo appears at the top left. On most websites, when you select the logo it brings you back home. In the Mews Booking Engine it does nothing. There is an "X" Box at the far top right corner that accomplishes this but with some users the "X" may mean to close the window. It would be a nice feature to be able to click on the logo and return to the home screen where ever you are in the booking engine.

  14. Update Timing Kiosk App: it would be very helpful to have a way of being able to determine the period in which the kiosk app receives its update? Since we have been using the app, it has repeatedly happened that the app receives an update just when guests have arrived and are waiting to be checked in. The update takes time which the guests do not have. So maybe it would be an idea to design it so that we as users of the app can decide when to download the current update - after we have received a message…

  15. Online CI confirmation.
    When the guest wants checked in online and he booked the room for two, online CI would not be completed in Mews without filling information for both guest. In that case I would recommend that message showed up after first guest finish online CI should inform the guest that online CI will be completed after all companions will finish online check in.

  16. Final price in Mews booking engine does not provide enough transparency to guest of what does it consist from. That leads to several problems:

    1. guests complain about additional charges when products are added by product rule on the background
    2. in multi-tax environments, the final price is sometimes inflated by taxes and fees which are added by product rules. Guest is not aware that price already include that which makes properties to look more expensive than competition
    3. In single-tax environments, city taxes are posted as products. In order to stay competitive, property doesn't include them in price. Guests are later complaining…

  18. Allow custom Space Category names to be displayed in booking engine.

    Similar to Rates & Products create a External Space Category field in which we can set an external customer centric name.

  20. In France, it is now mandatory to give the postal code of the guest when you want to close the bill. So it would be very convenient to make it mandatory when the customer makes the reservation. Or to leave us the choice to add it as a mandatory information or not.
