  1. during check in (at reception, kiosk or online) there need to be the option to fill in the business address.
    At the moment there is only the possibility to add the personal address.
    (online and at Kiosk this could be an option which is available regarding the purpose of stay - available if business)

  2. Allow all registered guests to sign a registration card. Right now only the main guest has that option but each person staying should have to sign and agree to terms and conditions. Specifically within the Co-Operator

  3. Adapt the Co-Operator Check Out function so that it looks like the Check In Function ? FO teams working with Co-Operator need a dashboard view of Check outs so they can just choose a reservation to C/O without needing the guest name and room number.

  4. I think it would be ideal (and something seen in many other kiosks) that a in-house guest could recut his/her key in the kiosk if they have lost it. This would mean that the kiosk have three function 1. Check in 2. Check out 3. recut keys if lost. Thanks

  5. It would be great to be able to customize the requirements for a Kiosk Check. This would allow us to collect information that is not part of any legal environment based on our location.

    Right now we ask guests to utilize the kiosk but when it cannot collect all the information we need for a check in it sits unused.

  6. 99% of guests in the US and Canada do not travel with their passport. Therefore Mews ID scanner doesn't work in this region. Properties are looking for ways to automate their check-in and checking ID/Driver's License is absolutely crucial.

    Scanning IDs and DLs is a needed feature in North America.

    Properties should also be able to make this a mandatory step if a guest wants to check in on a kiosk.

    Hey Mewsers, Good News! We started working on your feature request. We are investigating solutions that enable US, Canadian and other IDs to be scanned through the Kiosk. Please look for further updates in the coming months as this is a technically complex request.
  7. We are a hotel without a reception in house. Because we don't have any upselling during guest stays, we don't need any manual check out button at our kiosk. People are confused about check out button. Our guest only need to leave the apartment at a certain time and put the room card into a transparent box at the exit. It is written in our brochures and in the check out information which we give our guest with our confirmation mail. Therefore it confuses the people.   8. The software in Mews that reads ID data works much better than the one that does the same work in the kiosk app. In the kiosk app you have to enter some of the data manually, which is not necessary when scanning ID in Mews. The only problem with scanning the ID in Mews is that the system cannot find the camera it needs right away.

    Hey Mewsers, Good News! We started working on your feature request to improve the success rate of document scanning through Kiosk. It is a little complex to resolve, so please keep an eye out for further updates as it progresses.
  9. Adding date of birth by a guest is not very intuitive at the moment. Almost every guest is taking quite some time to figure it out. So request to make this filling in more logical and intuitive.

  10. As it seems, the QR code is only readable from Ipones (IOS) and not readable on Androids at the moment. Since Android still has a huge marketshare, this would be a big improvement for guests and hosts.

  11. In short: we just need to register one person´s data.

    We try to speed up our self-check-in by encouraging online check-in in advance, however most of our guests do not check in online.
    Now, when they come to the hotel and check in through Operator Kiosk, it takes a long time to check-in (for example they struggle to find ö,ä,ü for their names). That time is then multiplied for each person staying, which is not necessary.
    We can cut self-check-in time in half by just not asking the companions´data, like we always do at the reception.
    This could be implemented…

  13. Update Timing Kiosk App: it would be very helpful to have a way of being able to determine the period in which the kiosk app receives its update? Since we have been using the app, it has repeatedly happened that the app receives an update just when guests have arrived and are waiting to be checked in. The update takes time which the guests do not have. So maybe it would be an idea to design it so that we as users of the app can decide when to download the current update - after we have received a message…

  15. When checking in guests "manually" it would be nice be be able to "force" a registration card to show up in the operator. Imagine walking to a check in desk, saying your name, and the receptionist makes your registration card appear on a tablet in front of you for you to fill in.
    It would connect the "kiosk" option from hostels, with the personal service of hotels.

It would make it easier to keep the checked in reservations at the bottom of the operator screen and allow us to select them and add a guest who checks in later than the rest so that they can complete the check in too. Now there is no option to collect their information without undoing the check in, and that is not viable as we then could loose previous guests' info and signatures.

  17. To be able to allow all guests, including accompanying guests to check-in via the Kiosk.

    At this moment, once the main guest checks-in, the procedure is completed and will not allow accompanying guest to enter their info, such as passport etc.
