  1. during check in (at reception, kiosk or online) there need to be the option to fill in the business address.
    At the moment there is only the possibility to add the personal address.
    (online and at Kiosk this could be an option which is available regarding the purpose of stay - available if business)

  2. It would be helpful, if the guests could fill out their company address directly at check in (registration form) with the mews operator.
    Also the same for the online check in is a company address missing.

  4. 99% of guests in the US and Canada do not travel with their passport. Therefore Mews ID scanner doesn't work in this region. Properties are looking for ways to automate their check-in and checking ID/Driver's License is absolutely crucial.

    Scanning IDs and DLs is a needed feature in North America.

    Properties should also be able to make this a mandatory step if a guest wants to check in on a kiosk.

  5. Update Timing Kiosk App: it would be very helpful to have a way of being able to determine the period in which the kiosk app receives its update? Since we have been using the app, it has repeatedly happened that the app receives an update just when guests have arrived and are waiting to be checked in. The update takes time which the guests do not have. So maybe it would be an idea to design it so that we as users of the app can decide when to download the current update - after we have received a message…

The software in Mews that reads ID data works much better than the one that does the same work in the kiosk app. In the kiosk app you have to enter some of the data manually, which is not necessary when scanning ID in Mews. The only problem with scanning the ID in Mews is that the system cannot find the camera it needs right away.

  7. It would be great to be able to customize the requirements for a Kiosk Check. This would allow us to collect information that is not part of any legal environment based on our location.

    Right now we ask guests to utilize the kiosk but when it cannot collect all the information we need for a check in it sits unused.

  8. There should be an option to select several Departments to set the same Task for.

    For example, setting a Task for both Front Desk and Housekeeping to notify them that a guest has requested an early check-in on a particular day... annoying having to set the Task twice!

    Could this be a possiblity?

  9. When setting a task, everything needs to be typed, whereas a lot of time could be saved if the hotel could customise a list of templates to use.

    For example, 'Deliver Amenity' or 'Unzip Beds'. Quick little things like these!

  10. When clicking on Occupancy, and then hovering the cursor over the various cells, there's lots of information show (which is great!)

    It shows the Average Daily Rate, but would it be possible to also have displayed what the Total Room Revenue is too? e.g. ADR $200.00 x 38 rooms = $7,600.00.

  11. We need to be able to quickly and efficiently e-mail reports to other departments, and it is too fiddly and time-consuming to export, then download, the save somewhere, then attach as an e-mail and send.

    Could it be possible to add an option to e-mail a report directly from the Exports?

  13. Tasks are remaining 'open' and so revert to 'missed' even though the reservation may have been cancelled ages ago.

    Could we please have it so that Mews automatically closes all Tasks when a reservation is cancelled?

  14. This is a great feature, however it seems to be Euro-centric, in that the house numbers are being put at the END of the guest's address.

    Is there anyway to fix this so that Australian addresses always have the house number BEFORE the street address?

  15. At the moment, Mews continues to match the actual date and time after midnight, so this is creating problems when night auditors are trying to fix various things for what is now the previous day.

    Would it be possible for Mews to remain 'stuck' on the current day at midnight, so that any further postings done throughout the early morning still post as the previous day, THEN when everything's good and ready, the Night Auditor could then 'roll the system' by completing the day just gone, and starting afresh for the new day? It just feels like there should be…

If you accidentally post an incorrect amount for a Product, or forget to enter some information such as a check no. or any other relevant information, there does not seem to be any way either outright cancel that posting, or to amend either the amount you accidentally posted, or enter some notes you forgot to write.

  17. If you accidentally close a Task, there does not seem to be any way to reopen or reinstate it (instead, you have to create a whole new task and rewrite everything).

We need to sometimes make payments in Mews for cash and manual credit card transactions, but after the stroke of midnight there doesn't seem to be anyway to back-date it to the date you actually want the payment to appear for accounting purposes, and by applying the payment to the new date this further complicates matters because now you're kind of balancing over two days, and in perpetuity!

    Could this please be rectified ASAP?

  19. When checking in guests "manually" it would be nice be be able to "force" a registration card to show up in the operator. Imagine walking to a check in desk, saying your name, and the receptionist makes your registration card appear on a tablet in front of you for you to fill in.
    It would connect the "kiosk" option from hostels, with the personal service of hotels.

  20. In short: we just need to register one person´s data.

    We try to speed up our self-check-in by encouraging online check-in in advance, however most of our guests do not check in online.
    Now, when they come to the hotel and check in through Operator Kiosk, it takes a long time to check-in (for example they struggle to find ö,ä,ü for their names). That time is then multiplied for each person staying, which is not necessary.
    We can cut self-check-in time in half by just not asking the companions´data, like we always do at the reception.
    This could be implemented…
