  1. Like when our guests check-in online, it should be possible for our guests to change their e-mail doing check in at the Kiosk. We have a lot of guests who make their reservations through booking.com and then they don't get the chance to write their own e-mail address, because we already have the autogenerated one on their profile.

  2. Giving the employee as non admin permission an access to the corresponding that being sent directly from mews, such as booking confirmation, cancellation, invitation for online check in, invoices and etc, will speed up the employee to find the corresponding without searching in all mailboxes or activity logs.

  3. Display lowest available public rate in booking engine while selecting dates ( similar to SynXis booking engine), or show no availability.

    This is a standard of Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) for The Leading Hotels of the World.

  4. Currently we have a few services, such as bike rental, breakfast, and parking that can be added by the guests while making a reservation.

    However, there are certain situations where we do not want this option to be visible for the guests. An example is guests that come for a specific conference, who book through their own booking engine.

    It would be great if we can turn on/off bookable services for the specific booking engine when requested. We went through all settings, but are unable to find a way to do so.

  6. Create an option to upsell guests with add-ons, products, services and room upgrades during the guest journey.

    Guests should be able to book additional services, products even after they create their booking.

  7. Allow customization on when a product should or shouldn't be shown to the guest.

    Some examples:

    • Don't show breakfast product for breakfast included rates
    • Restrict a product in the guest journey depending on minimum/maximum advance (will allow for gradually more expensive versions of the product as it gets closer to the date of stay)
    • Restrict a product for certain days of the week (only available on weekends)

  8. Automatic e-mails are currently sent to all guests with an e-mail adsress. However, even OTA-guests-addresses (generated by the OTA for the communication via an extranet) are count. This leads to situations when our coded template is being sent to e.g. a booking.com-customer and basically unreadable in the extranet messaging tool. we would suggest either switch on/off-function by source or different templates by source (e.g. simplified versions/text only) for OTA guests

  9. I realised that the Mews booking engine does not use labels for the form (first name, last name, email address, ...). Autofill won't work properly.

    Most browsers support autofill and I think Mews should make use of that. It will bring more convenience for guests.

  10. Currently - settlement + cancellation policies are not visible to the guest in the booking engine. So for each rate code - we have to manually insert text to describe this in multiple languages.
    Most other Booking Engines display these rules by default during the booking-process online. Mews should be able to auto-generate this text - in multiple languages.

    The proposed solution would remove potential mismatch/errors between text & rules , save time for the user, and create a more sellable text to display rather than focusing a lot of the text to rules regarding the reservation.

Whilst its 'controlled' in the booking flow that a guest cannot complete the reservation without ticking the acceptance box for T&Cs, when it comes to defending a chargeback it supports a stronger counter-challenge if we have the ability to send a screenshot of the reservation summary with the datapoint captured that the T&Cs were accepted and timestamped.

  13. I understand how nice it is to collect more email addresses from guests, but the workflow to add companions during the online check-in process is causing most guests to not finish it.

    We (in Austria) require a name, nationality and date of birth of every companion.

    During the process, the main booker fills out his/her details, which is working very smoothly. Then the guest is asked to add companions. The guest can add a name and an email address for the companions, who then have to perform a seperate check-in process. This often does not happen, as the guest feels…

  14. Enable guests to modify and cancel booking in online check-in if it's outside the cancellation period. This would simplify and automate the process for hoteliers where guests need to call/email to make any changes.

  15. The Mail Template page displays every email which can be sent by Mews, however there is no indication asto whether or not the email is active / enabled.

    It would be ideal to display the status of each email, so at a glance we know which emails are enabled and which are disabled without having to review stay settings.

  16. Currently, the only way how guest can find out about the restriction is when the restriction is applied across the entire property. If there's a different length of stay restriction attached to different space categories, the guest receives a "NO AVAILABILITY" message.

  17. when booking multiple rooms, it should become possible to add ALL names for the rooms, especially when different room types are combined.

    we have several corporate clients for whom we provide a seperate booking engine, and they sometimes book multiple rooms at once but do wish to specify the name per room booked.

  18. Kiosk Check-In.

    If something happens during the guest's stay and we have to get in touch with our colleague who checked the guest in, it would be much easier if we have the option to choose the name of the employee who is checking in the guest.
    At this current state, when you check someone in via kiosk, the action log will say that "Mews Operator (Mews Kiosk)" has checked the guest in and not the name of the person!

  20. Integrate with Airbnb, Expedia and Booking.com directly including Chat API so that we can have a universal chat experience for our guests, currently we are having to use a clunky external system that provides a unified inbox.

    But it would be SOOOO much better if this was integrated directly into MEWS.
