  1. In addition to the “Close paid invoice” checkbox at check-out, offer “Close paid invoice and send by email” as an option. We always send the invoice to private guests by email, but nothing needs to be changed on the invoice and automation would take up a lot of work here.

  2. Dear Mews forum managers,

    I've been on the forum for a while now and have a few suggestions for improvements.

    It would be nice if:
    *the results could be filtered according to completed, rejected, open. at the moment you have to fight your way through various articles that make no sense to read
    *if you could also filter the search, e.g. all words must be included etc.
    *if your entries were moderated so that similar ideas were grouped together
    *if there was feedback on entries that have really received a lot of votes and yet are obviously not implemented

  3. Currently, the 'manage reservation' screen for groups does not show a summary of the total cost for the group, but only shows the total of each individual reservation.

    With optional reservations, there is no bill added to the 'billing' tab yet, so there is no (easy) way to verify how much the total cost is for the group reservation. This causes difficulties especially when sending out quotes to the guest.

  4. Currently, it is not possible to move a guest from a higher category to a lower category in the planning view. This restriction is particularly problematic when working with groups for whom the room type is irrelevant. Each time, you have to go to the reservation in question to make the change. This is a waste of time for us.

    This restriction would be implemented to avoid making mistakes. But why not simply display a warning message, but still leave this option open?

  5. Es wäre sinnvoll und einfacher, wenn man direkt vom Reservierungsbutton aus auch eine Gruppenreservierung / einen Gruppenblock anlegen kann. Der Umweg über den "Verfügbarkeits Blöcke" Bericvht ist sehr umständlich. Auch sollte man den Gruppenblick in der Verfügbarkeitsübersicht sehen können. Zusätzlich sollten Reservierungen die zu einer Gruppen gehören einfach erkennbar sein in der Zeitachse bzw bei den Anreisen, also ohne, dass man in jede Buchung klicken muss und schauen muss, ob diese zu einer Gruppe gehört. Eine Filterung der Anreisen nach Gruppe wäre ebenfalls sinnvoll.

  6. It would be very useful if you could view the status of an existing support case (e.g. see if it's been looked at, actioned, etc.) via the digital assistant. Currently once a case is submitted via the digital assistant, I'm not aware of a way to contact support without creating another case via the digital assistant. If you email [email protected] the automated reply says emails cannot be responded to directly, and creates another case.

    It would be much simpler if you could give your case number to the digital assistant to get a link to a summary page. Also, it…

  7. When guests payment fails on Booking Engine (property's web page) - it would be good if a payment request is sent automatically and guests warned if they do not make the payment that the booking will be cancelled.

    We are currently doing this manually and sometimes it is a lot of extra work.

  8. Even though you can manually move future bookings to a separate bill it would be really useful if Mews did this automatically. It sometimes gets missed by reception and charged by mistake.

  10. Bei vielen Artikeln ändern sich jedes Jahr der Preis. Es wird im System sehr unübersichtlich, wenn wir für jeden Jahr ein neues Produkt erstellen müssen, diese aber immer wählbar sind.
    Es müsste also möglich sein, dem Produkt einen Gültigkeitszeitraum zuzuweisen z.B. 01.01.-31.12.2025.
    Zusätzlich wäre es hilfreich, wenn in einer Buchung die Anzahl angegeben werden kann, wie oft das Produkt hinzugefügt werden soll. z.B. ein Produkt Halbpension welches pro Person pro Nacht gebucht wird bei einem Aufenthalt von 4 Nächten nur 2x gebucht werden soll.

  11. Proposal: Standardization of Reports

    Inconsistent Data Presentation:
    Reports are currently displaying different data sets.

    Varying Criteria:
    Not every report uses the same criteria to present data, leading to discrepancies.

    Divergent KPIs:
    As a result, each report shows different key performance indicators, depending on the data and criteria used.

    Risk of Misinterpretation:
    These inconsistencies can lead to confusion and may result in misleading statements or incorrect insights.

    Harmonized Reporting:
    My goal is to harmonize all reports so that every report shows the exact same data. Since all the data originates from the same source, there should be no discrepancies between reports.

    when introducting groups providing the arrival date (which is in the future) the departure date does not take into account the arrival time, but it comes back to

    We wish to send the breakfast list to our supplier along with the next day's breakfast orders. The product checklist is very useful, but we’d like to know if it’s possible to remove the guest names and display only the room numbers instead.

    Additionally, is there a way to automate this process by scheduling the list to be exported and sent out?

  15. Offer Pay by Invoice to certain companies linked to a voucher or based on rate. We would like to offer certain companies that have a voucher code to book direct with us the option to pay via invoice instead of having to fill in card details.

  16. We’ve noticed an operational challenge when trying to extend the check-out time or stay of a guest who is already checked in. Currently, Mews requires the room to be unlocked and automatically moves the active reservation to a different space, which creates operational problems since the guest is physically already in the room. This is especially challenging for Medium to large size Hotels.

    Our expectated behaviour is:

    The in-house reservation should remain in its current room.

    The following reservation (new guest) should be automatically moved to another available space or flagged as overbooking if none are available.

When making a booking and we need to select a date; could we get the dates on the calendar highlighted to let us know something important is happening on this date, i.e bank holiday, special event, wedding, or any restrictions. As when making a booking on Mews, we don't always use the calendar therefor we can miss if there is something important happening on that date.

  18. Hi, we need to filter by last name, but the export only contains first and last name in one cell, so we can only filter by first name.

  19. It would be good if you didn't have to create room moves as 2 separate reservations but could "link" the reservations. Otherwise, the guests receive double pre- and post-stay mailings, we have to correct the registration forms manually and it also distorts the overnight stay statistics with additional arrival/departure and length of stay.

    Es wäre gut, wenn man Zimmerverschiebungen nicht als 2 separate Reservierungen anlegen müsste, sondern die Reservierungen "verknüpfen" könnte. Ansonsten erhalten die Gäste vor und nach dem Aufenthalt doppelte Mailings, wir müssen die Anmeldeformulare manuell korrigieren und es verfälscht auch die Übernachtungsstatistik durch zusätzliche An-/Abreise und Aufenthaltsdauer.

  20. Zurzeit sind nur Reservationsnotizen im Mews-App ersichtlich. Dabei fehlen aber die Notizen vom Gast (z.B. wünscht zwei Kissen). Ist es möglich, dass die Gästenotizen mit der Rubrik "Housekeeping" auch auf der Mews-App hinterlegt sind? Somit muss die Rezeption die Notizen nicht jedesmal kopieren.
