Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  2. Ik zou graag een overzichtslijst willen hebben waarop ik kan zien welke kamers gekoppeld zijn/als groep geboekt hebben. Of een koppelteken bij deze kamers in de tijdlijn.
    Nu is het moeilijk om te zien of meerdere kamers bij elkaar horen. Dit is voor ons weer belangrijk om voor het diner of ontbijt te kijken hoeveel grote tafels we moeten indekken/hoeveel 4/6/8 persoons tafels we moeten indekken

  4. When pressing the new reservation button, the choice between individual reservation, block or quota booking with preset options should be available. It would be very helpful.

  5. We wish to be able to send 1 email (confirmation etc) for multiple bookable services as one. So if a guests books parking at the same time as their room, both services should be included in the same email. This is ensure a clear communication to the guest, without the need of spamming them with multiple emails for each service.

  7. At the moment CTA restrictions are applied as of check-in time (ie. 3pm 3 days prior to arrival) for channel bookings. However, mews applies this in the distributor as of midnight (ie. 3 days prior to arrival). We would need all channels and the distributor to have the setting applied at the same time (midnight), to avoid parity issues.

  8. The old occupancy report is still available but not the previous availability report.

    We used this report daily to modify the distribution between room types (mainly for internet channels to increase available single rooms and decrease double). It was easy to read, to modify and with a clear view on several future days.

    The new report doesn’t give a direct view on number of rooms available for each room category. The table is also less convenient when it comes to change these rooms allocations (several sub-menus whereas the access was easier before).

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the new availability and occupancy report.

    We currently provide the option to swap back to the old Availability and Occupancy report, by selecting the button on the top right hand side of the new report labelled "Old Occupancy report. Selecting this button will switch you back to the old Occupancy report as requested. Once you are able to view the old Occupancy report, select the Availability under “Mode” filter.

    We have updated your request title to solve for comparing availability by room type over a long period. This request has been updated as one to be upvoted by the Mews Community.

  11. Include the estimated departure TIME to the check-out report.
    During the online check-out guests can choose the estimated departure time. Could we include this respond to the check-out report overview as a new column for example after the online check-out column?

    Would be especially helpful in planning the peak times at the reception and organising the housekeeping the best way.

  12. sometimes you may wish to move a product from one additional service category to another (for example if you add a new service category due to expending the products offered).
    at the moment this is not possible and you have to create a new one and delete the old one. not very time efficient and also messing up your reports as you could already have products booked.

  13. Have a commission module to have the ability to track third party bookings commission (and very handy when it comes to verify accuracy of third party invoice and/or make amend where required)

  14. Give also an option to add product rules on Travel Agency level. Due contract or other reasons we need to apply some rules to specific Travel Agency which could not be distinguished by creating a separate rate plan. With this option even a rate plan is shared or booked by multiple Travel Agencies but a product will only be added to that specific Travel Agency.

  15. We are missing the feature in reservations to quickly see payment method.
    We would like to request an option or tick-box with:

    Payment type:
    1. Upon arrival by cash or card.
    2. Roomnight, breakfast and citytax on account.
    3. All costs on account.
    4. Package via voucher, citytax and extra’s upon departure by cash or card.

    It is intended for check-in and for on the confirmation to the guest.
    We have a lot of business guests during the week, some need to pay themselves and some go on account to the company.

    With check-in the receptionist should with a glance…

  18. When I enter a block pattern (example: 4-7-5-5-3) the system makes me pick the rooms up as if I have 4 rooms staying for one night, then 7 rooms staying for one night, then 5 rooms staying for 2 nights etc. instead of staggered arrivals with different lengths of stay like blocks typically are. Can that be changed?

    Thank you for your suggestion. Availability blocks in Mews allow for availability to be adjusted per space category per day as you have described above. When availability is adjusted, a set number of spaces are removed from public availability per day. 


    It is possible to support staggered arrival dates within an availability block, however the arrival dates are limited within the contractual constraints agreed upon i.e the number of spaces made available per day. 


    Based on your example above, it appears that you are referring to run of house reservations. Is that the case?

  19. sometimes you need to alert more than one department and/or people of the same task.
    would be handy if you had the opportunity to chose more than one department for the task, or be able to copy it, rather than having to type it all again.

  20. Dear Mews Team,

    Could you create a new Mobile Application where it will be possible to directly use Mews website instead of using an internet browser (like Google Chrome, Safari,...) on iPhone / iPad ?

    At the moment the interface is not so user friendly and it could really save us time by creating a dedicated application like the MewsCommander app.
