  1. It would be great to be able to create products (NOT linked as a stay package) composed of different subproducts with different prices and VAT rates, which would show as one package price.

    Example: I would like to create a Drinks package of X€, composed of water at Y€ and VAT rate at 10% and of wine at Z€ and VAT rate at 20%. Currently we have to create two products (water AND wine) and it would not appear as a drinks package in the billing line.

  2. Actually you can create a proforma invoice and print it as PDF, but it is not stored in Mews. So, if you like to find it weeks later, there is no chance. E.g. if you like to know on which guest you have created it.

  3. It would be great if when changing the dates of a reservation in the properties tab you could have an option to keep the same price when changing the dates. This could be added as it is the apply cancellation fees, which you can select or not. Specially now with the Covid-19 crisis we are changing a lot of reservation dates keeping the conditions for our guests, and if the price of the new dates is higher than the price they had, when you change the dates the price per night is automatically updated.   4. Now, it is impossible to print or send a proforma if booking is not confirmed
    To send a proforma for optional booking we have to confirm the reservation then delete it and re-create the booking as optional.
    Please make it possible, so we can send a proforma invoice as a quotation with an option date for confirmation

  5. Possibility to add notes without changing the room status is missing and necessary.

    P.a. if DND (do not disturb) or white card (when guest changes cleaning against free drink at bar) housekeeping needs to add the note to the status "dirty".

    At the moment you can only add notes when the status is changed.

  6. At the moment the restriction settings in MEWS are very complicated and extensive. When we try to close multiple rates that are within different Rate Groups (due to the settlement required) we have to close all rates individually. Our idea is to create Rate Buckets where you can add rates manually that only apply to restriction. This way, you can apply all restrictions on these Rate Buckets instead of on rate group or individual rates.

    Furthermore, it would be perfect if you can apply restrictions based on occupancy %. I.e. if hotel is 60% booked, I want to close all…

  7. We need to have the option to can mark the reservations for the next days as ''ready to check in'' so we know that there is nothing else to do with this reservations in terms of testing the credit card, or whatever is needed to do with the reservation, or mark the reservation as ''incidence'' if there is something that needs to be done on that booking.

  8. When dealing with a booking extension ( checked-in) Mews automatically changes the room allocation to a new vacant room. This does not make any sense as the guest is already in house, and Mews should not be able to change by itself an In-house reservation. This is leading into a lot of check-ins into occupied rooms and therefore, guest complaints.

  9. Have the option to restrict product to specific dates.
    For example: if we have New Years Eve Gala Dinner created as a product, would be very helpful to be able to restrict this product to only guests staying during the night of the 31st of December, and not to any booking date.

  10. Even though you can manually move future bookings to a separate bill it would be really useful if Mews did this automatically. It sometimes gets missed by reception and charged by mistake.

  11. House Accounts which are regularly used tend load/open slowly due to high volumes of transactions.

    Can we move historical data (90days and older) to a separate account or only load the most recent data when opening the account (last 60 days)

    This will assist efficiency and speed when charging to house accounts.

  13. What we would like is to be able to change the PAX on a nightly basis.

    E.g.
    "Guest A" has reserved a room for 5 nights. On night 1,2,3 Guest A stays in the room alone. Night 4 & 5 "Guest B" will join "Guest A" in the same room.

    As for now we have no possibility to change the amount adults/children since there's already products that has been consumed previous nights. (breakfast --> via product rule)
    This makes our safety list, and other reports show the wrong amount of overnight guests and products.

  14. As group reservations often appear together on the Timeline, there is not currently an efficient solution to relocate all of them once. An additional Timeline feature could enable moving all group reservations to another block simultaneously.

  16. Since Mews is a cloud solution and therefore accessible from anywhere, it is important that users are careful to log out once they are no longer using the platform. To help increase security measures, a feature could be implemented to automatically log out Mewsers who have been inactive for a certain period of time. After this predetermined interval, users would then have to reenter their user details to access Mews again.

  18. It would be nice when we send out the confirmation letters to our guests that there is a seperate section for special/important information to share with the guest. For example the exact room number or floor level for returing guests or critical information such as discount VIP status info.

  19. Occupancy overview in dashboard only 7 days ahead, while need is there to have similar overview for 14 days, this makes planning staff for Restaurants, Housekeeping much easier. If you click on Occupancy then the data comes out, completely different. The overview for 14 days, would be a great asset and make life easier.
