New billing needs to be removed or improved !
The new billing feature is awful. it is not easy to read or negotiate at all.
I can see that a lot of people feel the same and Mews resistance to change this back. Please listen to your users. I do not see how this new features improves anything at all.
If a guest has a lot of bookings coming up it is even worse.

Since you shared your comments with us 2 months ago we have been working continuously to improve the new billing screen in order to ensure that it not only meets the standards of the old billing screen, but opens up the opportunity to begin surpassing the functionality feature set of the old billing screen.
We have split the billing screen into 2 views. A group view accessible by selecting the “Billing” tab on the top right had side of the reservation screen and an individual view accessible by selecting the billing icon next to a guests name, or by selecting “all guest bills” from the group billing screen.
The group billing screen gives you an overview of all reservations and companions within a group for the current stay period. Whereas the individual billing screen will show you all bill items…

Remove payment button for Unassigned in Billing screen
Please remove the option to charge the customer card against all items under Unassigned.
This is causing operational problems, because is much easier to charge fully for current and future stays all together by mistake or while in a rush. The only way to prevent wrong charging is to manually move the charges to a New Bill.
This is a technical disadvantage.Old billings screen was able to prevent this as products for future reservations were kept on the left hand side. There was no option to collect payment against them.

The billing has changed and a lot of colleagues get confused using this new billing method. It is harder to see the companions on the same room when 2 guest are travelling together in one room. Sometimes the charges from F&B are booked on 2 different names in the same reservation. This can be easily forgotten on check out when very busy.
The room number is also not visible in the billing. It would be nice to see a name and roomnumber. (sometimes there are 2 bookings under the same name)We would love to change back to the old…

Thank you for your comments and feedback regarding the billing screen.
We have released an update resolving issues where the room names and room numbers were missing from the billing screen.
The new billing screen has 2 main views, group billing and individual billing.
From the group billing screen, you will be able to view a list of all bill items for reservation owners and companions. The group billing screen can be accessed from the billing tab on the top right hand side of the reservations screen.
The group billing screen shows all bill items for a group for the current stay period. Whereas as the individual billing screen (which can be accessed by selecting the billing icon next to a guests name), will show you all bill items from current, previous and future reservations.

Occupancy percentage in Manager Analytics
In Manager Analytics when selecting a specific Space Category type, the occupancy percentage will be shown based on the total number of rooms within this category only.
Is it possible to implement a way to see the occupancy of the selected category based on the total number of rooms in the property?
This is useful for hotels to calculate the RevPar afterward.

Move a reservation group to a different space category in bulk
In case of group bookings, would it be possible to select several rooms which have the space category to move them to another space category instead of doing one by one?

Reservation Report filtered by: Group by Customer's Country address
These filter does not provide enough detail to inform you where your guest's are arriving from.
It would be very helpful to have the Reservation Report include the City and Country details for the guest. Where the guests are from can often be a conversation starter for the front desk staff, especially if they have travel experience/knowledge.
Also, at this time of COVID, it is also helpful to know if the guest is from a locked down or red zone area.
Suggestion: Have the City and Country fields from the Customer Profile display on the Reservation Report.3 votesHello from the Mews product team,

As per the city, this request has not received the necessary upvotes to be added to the Mews development roadmap and is unlikely to be delivered.

New Billing Adjustment
I don't mind the new billing screen, once you get used to it, it is quite easy to use.
One thing I would suggest is that in the new billing screen, we move a lot of items to Paymasters and we now can't see which item belongs to which guestIt used to show as:

Mews shouldn't let us check in a guest when the room is occupied

Pickup of Cancellations
It would be great to have overview of „negative“ pick-Ups, so cancellations in the Pick Up Analytics tool. Even on the Dashboard, so you have a perfect overview of positive (bookings) and negative (cancellation) pick ups. As a reference: Pace is doing it in their pick up report

To have a “Big Warning” when the operator tries to generate a Bill with an empty NIF in Spain
We´ve found this link informing that the NIF is mandatory for bill above 400EUR in Spain, but to use this situation the Bill should have two different templates and would turn more complicated for daily operations.

So the operator can intentionally decide if it is really desired to generate a Bill without NIF and avoid human error missing the NIF, because by default the NIF is empty even when the user fields are already filled by the system.

Origin for Walk in
Due to the actual situation we have a high interest in walk in numbers. At the moment there is possibility to get a walk in figure. It can be only assumed reservations for the same day are walk ins, but its not clear at all. Therefore we request a walk in origin code which can be much better tracked.

Routing Rules - improvements
The routing rules allows us to route the following options;
1 - Only reservations that are prepaid in online travel agency (OTA)
2 - All reservations with this company or travel agency attachedrecommended improvement #1
we noticed that option 1 does not route prepaid reservations by VC.
As Bcom does indicate its a VC instead of a prepaid to TA. We cannot apply routing to this TA. As they do not have separate TA profiles for VC and CC as Expedia has, we currently cannot distinguish which ones should be routed.Recommended improvement #2

Analytics to custom set your dashboard
the analytics might be a great idea, but it would be better if you are able to custom set your dashboard.
for example, able to search by company (rather than travel agent!), able to set a specific time bracket, pick up in the last day / week, cancellations in the last day / week.
you might be able to do all those things, but i don't want to have to do the filters every time i open the analytics.

Group invoice information by guest name
Summarize invoices with multiple guest profiles by guest profile.
With group reservations or reservations with more than one guest profile the invoice turns out very chaotic i.e.:

Mix multiple cancelation policies within one rate
To setup 2 policies applicable to 1 rate who has different season instead of creating new rates for each season. The current system block guest from booking through 2 seasons. Example: A stay Dec 17 to Dec 25. December 17 to 20 is low season and December 21st to 25 is holiday/peak season. Low season is 1 policy and Peak/Holiday is 1 policy. Currently, I have 2 rates due to the policy issue.

Non residential packages
Would be good to have feature where you can build a non residential package, that is not linked to accommodation. Foe example we have a spa and we do spa days. a meeting room where we have day delegate package.
You can create the package but you cant book the package as there is no "management accounts" or ability to add function space in Mews

being able to filter the availability screen by space category
it would be great if you would be able to filter the availability report per space category - when you have several space categories, you are not able to see everything on the one screen and are not able to see the space category or date when scrolling further to the right on the time line

Marketing Data should be able to be pulled by overlapping
At the moment you can only report by reservation created date. I want to look at guests in house within a month. eg - the overlapping filter on normal reports. Because when it is created date, those guests could be any date in the future
