Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. You'll find a category here for each of the major topics in property management, and if you can't find the right category, please search or post to the Other category. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

    We are happy to inform you that we have added the ability to access the billing screen directly from the timeline.

    In order to make use of this functionality all you need to do is select a reservation from the timeline, from there you will see the billing icon in the side menu. Selecting this icon will open the billing screen as shown in the attached image.

  3. When a task is assigned to a user or department, no notification is received on the mobile app.

    The user must visit the Task section in the mobile app to see if any tasks have been assigned to them.

    Push notification to the user to alert them of the new task would help the user be aware of the new task.

    A little Red bubble showing new tasks over the task menu would also help.

    Example: Customer checks out of their room & advises the front desk that a light bulb is not working & that their is a bad…

  7. "For many properties, reservations will come in from various travel agencies, which often come along with unique travel agency numbers. To help clarify this these various details, a field for travel agency number could be added to the reservation module to keep all those important details in one easy-to-find place."

    Thank you for voting for this idea!

    Now, you can see exactly how many spaces are free (the number is positive) or overbooked (it’s negative) on the space categories level with the improved Occupancy and Availability reports.

    Hello,
    Have had this filter on the reservation report for a few months now. Sorry for not updating you earlier – there was another item that requested the same and we did not realize there was a duplicate.

    Accounting categories can now be deleted.

  13. It would be helpful if the task section had the option to add pictures when creating a task. This is essential for both cleaners and maintenance team where having a picture that shows the issue is vital.

  15. Spaces can vary based on the type of beds that they are furnished with, which is often important for housekeeping to know. Adding support for different bed types and arrangements could help clarify assignments for your housekeeping staff and minimize confusion for guests.

    Support different bed types i.e. Twin, Double etc

    We are so pleased to let you know that your feature request has been released.  


    You can set up the bed type definition on the space category level in the Mews web application. Open settings > services > space categories > select Space classification and add you preferred bed definition for example "Standard twin".

  18. Once a reservation is canceled in Mews, unfortunately it must be recreated in case a guest decides they would like to stay. This can be inconvenient in case of no shows that must come the next day or reservations that may have been canceled accidentally. An additional feature to reinstate canceled bookings could help simplify these occasions as all booking details could be preserved and records would be unified.
