Consider the other categories overbooking before sending availability
Today, if you have an overbooking of 2 Classic rooms, but only 1 Deluxe room, the system will still send availability for 1 Deluxe room even though you are in overbooking of 1 room. It can be extremely dangerous.

Search Bar in the Left Panel - to jump to the right section within Commander
It could be useful to have a search bar within the left panel, so that we can jump to the right section directly, instead of clicking through the various path to get somewhere specific.

I'm happy to say this problem is now resolved - while it's not on the left bar but next to it, the main system search on the top bar does find any page around Mews!

Be able to do a Room Move with a closed bill
We need to be able to move one guest from one room/bed to another one and to edit the reservation even if the account is closed.

Thank you for your feedback. It is currently possible to move a reservation from one to another both for cases when a bill is closed as well as cases where the reservation has been checked out.
In order to use this functionality, please ensure that the reservation is unlocked. The date range for which you can edit this infromation depends on the editable history window for your property. You can learn more about the editable history window in this guide.

Highlight or post a result of in-house guest on top of search bar
When searching for a guest in the search bar, it would be nice if the guest with that name that is already in house would appear on top, instead of scrolling through the list to find the guest that is in front of you.

zoom out timeline
We get a lot of overbookings which are not really overbookings we just need to move rooms around to do it.
Currently mews does not allow us to zoom out the timeline far enough to be able to do this. We have many bookings for more than 2 weeks so we cannot see the begginning and end of the booking on the timeline. This means it is impossible to move bookings around on the timeline to be able to fit in the 'overbookings'. this is going to be a huge issue for us if not fixed as we have this…25 votesHello, the monthly view is available in Mews and allows you to display bookings longer than 2 weeks. The moving functionality is currently not supported, but we will consider it in the next iteration.

Restrictions management filters
Currently restriction filters reset when deleting a restriction which makes using the system very annoying. Filters should be kept when deleting restrictions.

Add notes to calendar in Rate Management
It could be awesome to be able to add different colours or notes to some dates in the Rate Management calendar so we can mark some special dates as holly weeks, special events, etc to pay attention to the rates on those days

Add extra line at the top in timeline to implement large events in City or warnings or international holidays.
We are a Boutique hotel with 40 rooms without meeting rooms. Located In between centre of Amsterdam and a large (RAI) conference Centre. In case of large conferences or Events in the city we can sell at higher rate than leisure. Because these city wide conference are known for years ahead we like to have a space on top of timeline to place the name of the event with warning like "only sell high' or 'do not offer to groups' .

Send messages from Mews Commander app
At the moment it is not possible to send messages from the Mews Commander app only receive them. It would be a quick and useful tool for the Mewsers e.g. to communicate from HK to FO.

Features in commander app
For our housekeeping we would like to have the space category and the features shown per room in the app. This way they can see for example if a room has a twin or a double bed.

Rebate invoice should automatically create charges and payments in negative and close invoice
When we do a Rebate, the credit note should automatically create the same charge in negative and the payments and already close the bill.
And we should know if an invoice was rebated and which is the credit note related.
Very important :)

37 votesReleased - now there is an ability to either Change address on the closed invoice or do an Invoice reinstate to the open bill, in either case the Credit note would be automatically issued and link to the original invoice.

arrival report by alphabetic order

Thank you for the feedback and upvotes. We are very happy to inform you that it is possible to filter the reservation overview arrival report by alphabetic order as requested.
In order to make use if this feature, you can select the “Ordering” filter in the “Arrivals” tab, and select “Customer”. This will automatically order your reservations in ascending order, alphabetically.

Hello Mewsers,
Thank you for the feedback and suggestions, we are very happy to inform you that the space status report allows you to filter by alternate reservation states.
You can choose whether you would like to view reservations that have been confirmed (definite reservations) , reservations that are currently optional or both! Simply select the “status” filter in the reservations report and apply the changes that you would like to view.

In the new reservation module a total price instead of the average price
in the new reservation module only an average price is displayed. a total price would be easier. possibly leaving the choice to the user as to what may be displayed.

The name of the invoice should be "invoice" (in english) not "factuur" ;-)
Mews should not impose anything on our official document. Moreover, if Mews wants to make a change on the official documents, they should warn us before.
Hence we notice that our invoices and pro-format are now labelled "Factuur" (dutch word for invoice). But we do not use dutch in our system.
Forcing us to use dutch language on our english or french invoices is just

Put breakfast added manually to the bill as product on report
The idea is to make the product breakfast appear on the reports even if it was added manually to the bill.

Do not display future reservations in billing screen as receptionist sometimes charge future stays

We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!
On this new screen we have separated bill items from past and future reservations. Now you can stick to seeing the relevant bills for your reservation in the selected stay period
Don’t worry, we haven’t gotten rid of it completely! We have created an additional billing screen for each guest. You can access this screen by selecting “All guest’s bills” in the new billing screen. This will show you all open past, present and future bills for the guest you have selected, with convenient tags so you always know which bills are relevant for you.
Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.

Add relative adjustment field before closing bills & invoices
This property was asking for a way to add a discount percentage to an invoice before they close the bill in a way they will not have to calculate it themselves manually. Right now the only way to do that is to create a product but they will still need to calculate the total price after the discount.
