  1. I would like to be able to set my own custom dates when scheduling reports instead of using the preset settings.

Currently in Mews, if you assign filtered spaces in the room assignment screen example Dirty, first floor, then select the housekeeper and select all rooms, the complete list of rooms of the first floor appears. You select the rooms you with to assign to this housekeeper, click Assign. Then you want to assign the next Housekeeper to the remaining rooms and follow the same process. However, when you choose spaces, the complete list of spaces (example Dirty, first floor) reappears and you have to remember which rooms you have already assigned or you may accidentally override the assignments already given.…

  3. Consumption date of once products is not shown on the Guest in house report. This report is used by the F&B team to determine whether a specific guest has purchased breakfast or not on a particular day. Product report does not show room numbers and therefore cannot be used when guests come to the restaurant.

    Please add the consumption date of "Once" products so it can be easily visible on a single report without needing to add notes.

    We are very happy to inform you that we have officially released a new filter in the Guest in house report, that will allow you to view products consumed during the report’s selected interval.

  4. Please remove the option to charge the customer card against all items under Unassigned.
    This is causing operational problems, because is much easier to charge fully for current and future stays all together by mistake or while in a rush. The only way to prevent wrong charging is to manually move the charges to a New Bill.
    This is a technical disadvantage.

    Old billings screen was able to prevent this as products for future reservations were kept on the left hand side. There was no option to collect payment against them.

  7. this is now the second or third day this is happening!
    really annoying and wasting a lot of time having to refresh after every billing handling, especially as system has been really slow at times in the last two or three days.

  8. Would it be possible to pay per month and not per night? For exampe, our tenants stay at our residence 6 or 12 months. One month costs €510,-. Now I have to calculate it back to the costs per night. So for every month I have to divide the €510,- by 28, 30 or 31 nights. This almost never ends on a rounded number wich makes it a lot of work and the chance of making a mistake or typo is big. Please let me know if this would be possible.

    Hello, monthly bookable services in Mews allow you to price your services on monthly basis: you do not have to define price for each night, you price full months and there is only one item (month) instead of 30 items (nights) on the bill.


    In the coming months, the team will focus on improving the functionality for long stays (monthly reservations) and introduce pro-rating, flexible housekeeping and product posting. We are also looking into payments automation via direct debit.

When using Commander on an iPad, when selecting links such as under Finance, Reports and Reservations the links are very close together and when touched, there is no response or incorrect input as your finger may accidentally touch the wrong link. You have to be careful where you touch. On a laptop or computer, there doesn't seem to be a problem but with a smaller screen there is a challenge. Maybe spacing these links slightly more apart or using a slightly larger font would help in accidental input.

  12. How is is not possible to move guests to another room, without making a new reservation or splitting a reservation. Too much work in to a simple action. Too much work where is no extra time for these trying times with too little employees.

    Thank you for contacting the Mews Product team.

    We currently offer several ways to move reservations including dragging and dropping reservations to another room from the timeline, as well as the ability to move reservations to another space from the status tab of the reservation screen or to a different space category from the properties tab on the reservations screen.

  13. Is it possible to make the task field in MEWS bigger again so that you can drag the field to write info in it?

    Before the update, you could drag the "Description" window larger using the arrows at the bottom right.

  14. I don't mind the new billing screen, once you get used to it, it is quite easy to use.
    One thing I would suggest is that in the new billing screen, we move a lot of items to Paymasters and we now can't see which item belongs to which guest

    It used to show as:
    Stay 1129 (Jane Smith, 1/12/2020-2/12/2020, Standard Room, 16) - $150

    Now shows as:
    Past, 1/12/2020-2/12/2020 - 1129 x1 - $150

    We apologies for the delayed response. However, we are happy to inform you that the functionality that you requested has been released.

    You are currently able to see the name of a the original guest who owned a bill before it was moved to a paymaster account.

  15. Instead of displaying the creation date, it would make more sense for our guests to see the consumption date so that when they check their bill they can quickly identify when certain items were used.

  16. like when you are scrolling up / down you condense the number of spaces displayed on the timeline, you should also be able to do that with the number of days displayed. It would be great if you would be able to see at least one full month on the timeline (ideally would be at least two months!)

  19. The new billing feature is awful. it is not easy to read or negotiate at all.

    I can see that a lot of people feel the same and Mews resistance to change this back. Please listen to your users. I do not see how this new features improves anything at all.

    If a guest has a lot of bookings coming up it is even worse.

    Since you shared your comments with us 2 months ago we have been working continuously to improve the new billing screen in order to ensure that it not only meets the standards of the old billing screen, but opens up the opportunity to begin surpassing the functionality feature set of the old billing screen.

    We have split the billing screen into 2 views. A group view accessible by selecting the “Billing” tab on the top right had side of the reservation screen and an individual view accessible by selecting the billing icon next to a guests name, or by selecting “all guest bills” from the group billing screen.

    The group billing screen gives you an overview of all reservations and companions within a group for the current stay period. Whereas the individual billing screen will show you all bill items…

  20. It would be great to have overview of „negative“ pick-Ups, so cancellations in the Pick Up Analytics tool. Even on the Dashboard, so you have a perfect overview of positive (bookings) and negative (cancellation) pick ups. As a reference: Pace is doing it in their pick up report
