  1. Whenever you create a block, Mews makes a "virtual rate code" for the group block. This becomes a nightmare when collecting rate code data from Mews API. Especially when ONLY American English is auto-generated for short name. Default language is based on user, not property so if one user has something else than American English, then the rate code name in database becomes blank. it should auto generate in american english short name no matter what language user uses.

  2. Ich hätte gerne die Möglichkeit, einer Rate nur ein gewisses Kontingent zuzuordnen.

    Ich habe eine Frühbucher-Rate, möchte diese aber nur für eine begrenzte Anzahl an Zimmern buchbar machen.

    Wir arbeiten mit DIRS als Channelmanager, da konnte ich das als Regel einstellen (schließe diese Rate, wenn weniger als x Zimmer verfügbar sind).

    Sinnvoll wäre es, dies unter den Restriktionen einzutragen.

    Würde mich sehr freuen, wenn dies realisiert würde.

  3. Add More conditions to the Product Rules: so users can have even more specific applications. Some of them are:

    Such as the "Creation Date" of reservations. Especially if a new tax/service fee is to be in effect only after/before a certain date.
    Age Categories
    Space Features
    Valid Period of promotion (Voucher)
    Floor Number

  4. Two customer scenarios highlight gaps in the current product setup:

    Per-person products/fees (e.g., spa/massage): For spaces that accommodate multiple guests (e.g., a villa for 12), only some may use a service (e.g., 4 guests want a spa). Currently, there’s no way to select a quantity per product for partial occupancy.

    Pet fees: Customers want to charge per pet (e.g., $30 per dog) and allow multiple pets to be added. Currently, the only workaround is creating separate products for each pet count (e.g., “Pet Fee – 1 dog” $30, “Pet Fee – 2 dogs” $60), which is cumbersome.

  5. Currently restrictions only consider the arrival date and not the departure date.

    This means that if I want only allow bookings at my property from today - 365 days from now, setting the below restriction is not enough to close out the property from day 366 onwards. This restriction will allow a reservation to start on day 1 - 364 and end any day afterwards.

    Restriction type: Closed to Stay/Arrival/Departure
    Maximum advance: 365 days

    The best current workaround is to set the below restriction. However, this restricts stays arriving on day 336 - 365, and also for more than 30…

  7. We should be able to filter rate codes as expired to not take up space in the rate code screen, but activate them again if needed. This way the system can stay clean and tidy. Especially since you don't have a search feature.

  8. It would be helpful to have more charging rules or patterns for products.

    Especially for long term bookings (still with a nightly rate) it can be necessary to add a product on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly pattern.

  9. Currently if you set a cancellation policy overwrite for a rate group there are several issues:

    • The overwrite policy is not reflected within the email templates
    • The policy only applies if the arrival date falls within this period. There is no way to define an inclusion rule

    Let me explain this with an example. If I set a 14d cxl policy for New Years 31. - 01.01., the confirmation email will still state my standard 3d cxl policy. If a guest stays for two nights 30.12 - 01.01. the policy won't even apply because his arrival date doesn't fall on…

  10. Bei vielen Artikeln ändern sich jedes Jahr der Preis. Es wird im System sehr unübersichtlich, wenn wir für jeden Jahr ein neues Produkt erstellen müssen, diese aber immer wählbar sind.
    Es müsste also möglich sein, dem Produkt einen Gültigkeitszeitraum zuzuweisen z.B. 01.01.-31.12.2025.
    Zusätzlich wäre es hilfreich, wenn in einer Buchung die Anzahl angegeben werden kann, wie oft das Produkt hinzugefügt werden soll. z.B. ein Produkt Halbpension welches pro Person pro Nacht gebucht wird bei einem Aufenthalt von 4 Nächten nur 2x gebucht werden soll.

  11. a direct way to set minimum length of stay restrictions that depend on the booking window—for example, enabling 1-night stays when booked within a week of arrival but requiring a 2-night minimum otherwise. lead-time-specific rules would make for a better occupancy and facilitate further processes.

  13. Having an ‘Out of Sales’ status which blocks the sale over a date period but does not remove it from the inventory.

    It is possible to use House Use but this is not taken into account by RMS DUETTO.

  14. Being able to offer a voucher / promo code that allows for a price reduction from the booking amount. E.g. using code "Spring100" in the booking engine to receive a 100 € discount on the price. That is sometimes more effective than offering a %-discount.

  15. We’d like the flexibility to define different cancellation policies per room category, without creating separate rates.
    Example:
    - Standard Room: free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival
    - Suite with Sea View: free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival

    Both should be part of the same rate, shown consistently across booking channels and internal systems.
    Maybe as a rule?

  16. Just heard from MEWS premium support that it is not possible to apply a non refundable full deposit policy(For all Rates/Levels) to a certain date or date range for a special event. This is possible with other PMS providers so please could I ask for this feature to be created.

  17. It would be helpful to be able to set up recurring restrictions. For instance, our property is closed 1-30 JUL every year. We also restrict many rates during our Festive Period 15 DEC-15 JAN. Rather than process these each year, it would be much more useful to be able to set it to reoccur every year (similar to a birthday in an Outlook calendar).

  18. Can we please create a feature to block room charges for so no one can add any unnecessary charges to rooms

    Right now, we are only commenting on bookings that should be on a no post basis, but of course there is human error at one point or another and it is sometimes easy to miss the comment especially when there are multiple information on the booking, and we end up not getting paid for these services sometimes

  20. (1) When filtering out the Start and End date fields to search "applicable" or "created" interval, it should intuitively grey out dates past the start date and then prompt the user with future dates within the same calendar period (future in general). Users should not be expected to keep clicking on dates to select the desired dates.

    (2) Once you access a restriction, and edit it then you click "<=" to go back to the restriction page/dashboard. However, the dates previously selected have been reset to the current/default "applicable" window. The clients would like to not keep selecting the dates…
