Mark partially completed Online Check-Ins
Guests often abort the Online CI at the credit card entry field, but complete the guest registration process. A completed guest registration should somehow be marked in MEWS as it saves time for the receptionist and creates a better guest experience.
Possible solutions:
Header text: must be checked in - Completed guest registration - Checked in Online
Icon somewhere in the reservations of the arrival field
When printing out guest registration cards, replace those of the guests that already completed the form with the actual completed PDF. (prefered solution)41 votes -
Update departure date on selection
In the date filters, latest date remains in the past after earliest date has been set in the future.
To prevent additional manual work:
MEWS should automatically change the calendar date to a date later than the check-in date selected. For example, check in date 1/1/2021, check out date should default to 2/1/2021 (and not remain to todays date).41 votesHello from the Mews product team,

Show length (number of days) for long stays
We have some ‘Long stays’ but there is no where we can see the actual number of days they’re staying (without looking at the arrival and departure date and making the maths). It would help if there could be a way of having a number (it could be right next to the reservation dates and inside parentheses) indicating the total room nights of that reservation

Connect reservations without merging into group
If the channel manager has made reservations (and therefore it's not possible for the rest of us to merge groups), or if we have several bookings from different backgrounds and do not wish to mix their billings, it would be great to connect the reservations somehow. In stead of group, call it "related" or similar.

Make new "last minute" arrivals arriving today more visible on the arrivals list?
Can you make new "last minute" arrivals for today more visible on the arrivals list?
- Arrivals made between yesterday 00:00 and today are not easy to see unless you check the reservation report, which is not user friendly in a fast pace environment.
- Can they be marked in the system with a symbol or color or notification (or in any other way) for us to be notified on the day?

restrictions notifications when amending reservations
Currently when modifying reservations, MEWS does not respect restrictions being in place.
Ideally we would get a pop up in case, we modify a reservation that does not comply with the restrictions in place. So we can choose to except the modification that does not match sales strategy.

Messaging function upgrade
I love the new feature that the guest can contact us via chat. However, it's not very easy that the guestchat and the intern chat is on the same page. also it is not possible to delete a person in the group (for example when they left, or acidentaly add the wrong person) also a delete button for a chat would be great (intern). does the guest chat also be saved in their

Ability to remove the new update 'refresh' notification
It would be great if the notification to refresh the browser due to new updates could be moved/removed without refreshing the browser as it tends to hide part of the timeline, so users are often having to refresh the timeline and get back to the position they were working on every time there is a minor update

It is unlikely that we will remove the refresh function as it is required in order for us to migrate you to a newer version of Mews which often includes the latest security updates. We can however, look into ensuring that the update does not break your workflow on the timeline.
We will be looking into improvments for the timeline in 2022 and will consider your request.

Confirmation package without listing all products included
I would like a confirmation for packages without mentioning all products from the reservation. These products are set as “Bill as package” anyway and are not shown separately on the guest's bill either. Just mentioning the rate name and total amount on the confirmation would be sufficient. Perhaps with the extension of the textual content of the package.

Personenzahlen Tagesweise Anpassen
Es wäre hilfreich wenn Sich die Personenanzahl Tagesweise individuell anpassen lassen würde. Somit ist gegeben, dass die Personenanzahl im Haus immer Stimmt und Produkte sich automatisch anpassen. Gerade bei Kurabgabe und Frühstück ist dies entscheiden.

When making a booking and we need to select a date; could we get the dates on the calendar highlighted to let us know something important is happening on this date, i.e bank holiday, special event, wedding, or any restrictions. As when making a booking on Mews, we don't always use the calendar therefor we can miss if there is something important happening on that date.

Hotel Logo size in invoices
The reserved space for a hotel logo is very narrow. A wide and narrow hotel logo is therefore very small and unattractive. To avoid the need to adapt the hotel logo (corporate identity), I wish that the design of the header on the guest invoices is much more flexible and that it is possible to display a wide logo in a suitable way.

Auto cancellation when same day reservation (made after 4pm) does not complete payment link
When a booking is made after 4pm for the same day, a payment link is automatically sent to the booker to request payment in full for this confirmed reservation. This link is valid for 15 minutes. If the booker does not complete payment, the reservation should be automatically cancelled.

Room change for an in house guest
When an inhouse guest must move rooms for whatever reason such as extended stay or change due to category capacity or to another catagory that Mews is able to see this and combine the entire stay into one booking for our registration cards. So that we have a complete record of where the guest will be in house during their stay. At the moment we must print seperate registration cards for each invividual room.

Notifications needed for new same day bookings
Please include a pop up note on the dashboard or send it as a message in MEWS for new same day arrivals/bookings created on the day for the day - to assist in preparation for arrivals. The channel manager emails are not sufficient and reliable enough to reach the right group of people.

Reservation Arrival Queue to Help Prioritize Housekeeping
When a guest arrives and the room is not ready, it would be good to place the reservation into a Queue that would notify Housekeeping to prioritize this guest room cleaning. This might be an added icon that would put the reservation on top of the normal reservation cards on the arrival screen. The automation part would be to notify housekeeping that a reservation has been put into the queue and waiting.

multiple task setting - templates
In a previous system we were able to set up templates for a task which consisted of multiple individual tasks.
For example if a guest had requested an extra bed, reservations would add one task to the booking which in turn triggered the tasks for housekeeping to set up the bed as well as remove it on departure).
This was SO handy as it avoided mistakes and reception / reservations only had to add 1 task.
Of course this works particularly well if you are able to link tasks to a specific event in the reservation like arrival and departure…33 votesHello Simone
