  1. I would be helpful, if the housekeeping could see stay products which could for example be a fruit basket or pralines in the room.
    We have some rates for Specials that require a certain preparation from the housekeeping. Therefore it would be helpful, if the houseekeeping team could see the products and rates in their app.

  2. We have rooms that need more time to be cleaned, which is why we have to block them for the night after the guests check out. It would be great if the system could do that automatically as soon as those rooms have been booked. As for now, we need to block the rooms manually everytime it is booked...

  3. At this moment we can not check how many baby beds + extra single beds are already booked and we would love to see this in the time line view so we can see this quickly.

  4. It would be great to have a "Guest Outside" status for rooms of stay over guests, so Housekeeping knows the room is ready for cleaning.

    We are very happy to announce that we have added reservation details in the task section of the Mews mobile app!

    You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.

    Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

  6. To improve the speed of room assignment by housekeeper, it would be good to have the ability to drag and drop specific rooms under each housekeeper on a daily basis similar to what we do with Timeline. You could quickly see which rooms are unassigned and drag the room under each housekeeper to complete their board for the day. If room credits are used, each room that is dragged under a housekeeper deducts from the total credits assigned for the day.

  9. Currently, you are not able to put the Space out of order form the Mews Housekeeping App. You are able to change the status from Dirty to Clean to Inspected to Out of Service but not Out of Order. We would like the ability to put rooms Out of Order with a reason from the Housekeeping App.

  10. It would be helpful to assign Housekeeping from a single space status screen versus room assignment screen. The drop down could show all available housekeeping and you could assign one or two directly onto this screen. Today, you have to use the assignment tool with has filters and is a bit awkward as you need to filter than assign a housekeeper then rooms. When you select and second housekeeper the same rooms show up as the first and you have to remember you have assigned them. Also, for some hotels, stayovers are assigned 20 minutes and full cleans are assigned…

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is currently possible to view the name of a guest the has checked in from the Mews Mobile app from the spaces section.


    In order to view this information, select a room, scroll down and you will be able to see the name and details of a reservation that is currently in a room.

  12. It would be very nice to see the room number of the guest in the tasks list in the Mews Commander and the mews commander app.
    If the housekeeping is using only the app, they can't see the reservation and therefore the room number.

Currently in Mews, if you assign filtered spaces in the room assignment screen example Dirty, first floor, then select the housekeeper and select all rooms, the complete list of rooms of the first floor appears. You select the rooms you with to assign to this housekeeper, click Assign. Then you want to assign the next Housekeeper to the remaining rooms and follow the same process. However, when you choose spaces, the complete list of spaces (example Dirty, first floor) reappears and you have to remember which rooms you have already assigned or you may accidentally override the assignments already given.…

  14. Hi I believe a report that shows all traces by room number would be very helpful for our daily operations. We have plenty of HSKneeds for individual rooms and we need a report that has all the information by room number. E.g. room 205 is allergic to feather, room 206 wants romantic turndown service and room 320 wants service everyday at noon.

    A report that contains guests name, arrival/departure dates and all necessary information described above would help a lot. It would nice to be able to print it for a range of rooms too so that you can give…

  15. The housekeeping should be able to also mark a room as do not disturb. In stead of only: clean, inspected etc.

    This way the reception can clearly see if there are any rooms with only new towls. etc.

  17. Mews has a legionella prevention function. It automatically puts vacant rooms into dirty status after 7 days of being vacant. However, our Housekeeping and Maintenance system have a likewise function, which is way more operatable. Because I can adjust settings: I can choose the amount of days, type of notifications and to whom, etc. And, it belongs to those departments that do the legionella prevention. Mews just puts the rooms on dirty status and I have to go all the way into the history log of each individual dirty room to find out why it was put dirty; there's no…

  18. Currently, anyone with Housekeeping privileges can update the room status from Dirty to Clean to Inspected.

    Hotels, however, want only managers to really do the inspection. It would make a lot of sense to restrict the inspected status change to housekeepers only.

    Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, this request will not be added to the Mews development roadmap and is unlikely to be delivered.

    We at Mews follow strict design guidelines and principles with regards to the colours we use in the system. As our brand evolves and new designs standards emerge we constantly review our design choices and will keep usability and accessibility very close in our decision making process.

  20. I am not sure whether to put it here or under Commander (sorry).
    But I have an idea to automate a lot of the Lost & Found processing.

    In the Commander where housekeeping can change the room status, there should also be a section "Lost & Found" added. A housekeeper or the Housekeeping Manager can create a lost & found ticket so the item can be labeled with the number given by the system. This will make it easy to track.
