    Hello from the Mews product team,

    We are very happy to announce that we have added reservation details in the task section of the Mews mobile app!

    You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.

    Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

    We are happy to announce that we have released an update to the way in which product rules are structured.

    What has changed?

    You will now be able to add multiple products to each product rule.

    What does this mean?

    Where you used to need 4 rules containing the same conditions for 4 different products, you now only require 1.

    Thank you for your continued feedback and suggestions.

    We are happy to inform you that tentative, or as we’ve called them “Inquired” reservations are available in Mews Commander.

    You can create reservations with the Inquired state from the third step of the new reservations screen by selecting the “Status” dropdown and clicking “Inquiry”.

    Inquired reservations do not take spaces out of inventory, you can, however update the status of the reservations to either optional, confirmed or cancelled. Updating the status of a reservation to confirmed or optional will assign a room for your chosen reservation.

    In addition to the above inquired reservations can also be created with a release date.

    Feel free to give this feature a try and let us know what you think.

    We are happy to inform you that we currently support the functionality that allows you to view who updated and task and when.

    In order to view the last user to update a task, select the task and view the “Updated” section at the bottom.

  6. It would be grate with a tablet that is on the reception counter, where the registration card comes up for the to sign or input data. That way we would save a lot of time and paper

    Hello from the Mews Product team,

    We are very happy to inform you that we have expanded the paperless experience for you and your guests. Not only can you allow your guests to sign their registration cards from the Mews Operator (Kiosk) at check-in, you can also provide your guests with the option to sign their registration cards before arriving at your property using the Mews Navigator application.

  7. At the moment it is not possible to send messages from the Mews Commander app only receive them. It would be a quick and useful tool for the Mewsers e.g. to communicate from HK to FO.

    Thank you for your request, we are happy to inform you that it is no possible to group by groups in the reservation report in order to view all of the groups in your property. 


    For larger groups you can use the availability block report to view group information.


  10. For our housekeeping we would like to have the space category and the features shown per room in the app. This way they can see for example if a room has a twin or a double bed.

  12. Even if there is only a stayover in one bed of a dorm, the whole room should be marked as dirty the next morning, so that HK know they have to check it. So you don't risk to book guests into a dirty room

  13. Currently restriction filters reset when deleting a restriction which makes using the system very annoying. Filters should be kept when deleting restrictions.

  14. Due to quotas, many properties must choose between their rates, groups, and products when transitioning to Mews. However, increasing the number of quotas system-wide could create speed problems for some properties when there is so much information to load. It is imperative that the system is internally optimized so that it can maintain fast loading speeds while still allowing for an increased number of options.

  15. If a payment fails when trying to settle a guest bill, it can create problems for your staff as they might have to chase that guest for a successful payment. Therefore, automating tasks for failed settlements could help streamline this process and collect payments as soon as possible.

    For example: In case of manual settlement, a task could be created to collect payment from the guest at the time of your settlement trigger. In case of a failed automatic settlement, a task could be created to collect payment from the guest at the time of your settlement trigger.

  17. Bookable services can be deleted only if there is no reservation under them (including cancelled reservations).

    It is not possible to delete theme because access to these reservations might be needed in the future. However, it might be possible to deactivate/archive them, keeping the old data accessible in certain areas of the system.

    Hello, it's Martin here, from Mews.


    Today, we are releasing service deletion for services with past reservations.


    Bookable service can be deleted when there are no future or ongoing reservations attached to it. Also, there must be no automated exports, no service promotions and no integrations linked to the service.


    The functionality is only available to users with permission to create and manage services.


    Data from deleted services will disappear from almost all areas of the system, so use the functionality wisely :-) The data will only be visible in the manager report. Old reservations from a deleted service can also be accessed through the dashboard on the customer profile.

  18. For paymaster accounts we organize the receivable invoices per month or prepare a group of bill for a special wire transfer amount. Having the option of renaming a bill preview will be very useful when we transfer a receivable invoice from a customer profile to the paymaster account. We won't confuse about the right bill preview to transfer anymore.

  19. When you export customer profiles to excel, the field 'language' is not added. So I need to filter on postal code to know which language the customer speaks. Which is totally incorrect.
    Please add the field 'language' to the excelfile guest profiles.
