  2. New update changed calendar/timeline colors to 50 shades of gray, why!!!???

    so,

    Out of order: dark gray
    Future stay: less dark gray
    checked out: light gray

    Why???

    Departures: light blue
    People checking in: light blue

    Who is designing your UI, probably same genius who designs your billing screens (old and new)

    Hello,

    We are very happy to announce that you are now able to distinguish between children and adults in reports!

    Updates for the reservation overview are currently in the final stages of development and will be released very soon.

    In addition to this release, we’ll be adding functionality that will allow you to add products to children and adults separately whilst creating a new reservation.

  4. When a secretary or organizer, organize a booking on behalf of someone else, include an additional field for booker on the reservation, so that you could run a reservations report against the bookers.

  6. The billing has changed and a lot of colleagues get confused using this new billing method. It is harder to see the companions on the same room when 2 guest are travelling together in one room. Sometimes the charges from F&B are booked on 2 different names in the same reservation. This can be easily forgotten on check out when very busy.
    The room number is also not visible in the billing. It would be nice to see a name and roomnumber. (sometimes there are 2 bookings under the same name)

    We would love to change back to the old…

    Thank you for your comments and feedback regarding the billing screen.

    We have released an update resolving issues where the room names and room numbers were missing from the billing screen.

    The new billing screen has 2 main views, group billing and individual billing.

    From the group billing screen, you will be able to view a list of all bill items for reservation owners and companions. The group billing screen can be accessed from the billing tab on the top right hand side of the reservations screen.

    The group billing screen shows all bill items for a group for the current stay period. Whereas as the individual billing screen (which can be accessed by selecting the billing icon next to a guests name), will show you all bill items from current, previous and future reservations.

  7. When a task is assigned to a user or department, no notification is received on the mobile app.

    The user must visit the Task section in the mobile app to see if any tasks have been assigned to them.

    Push notification to the user to alert them of the new task would help the user be aware of the new task.

    A little Red bubble showing new tasks over the task menu would also help.

    Example: Customer checks out of their room & advises the front desk that a light bulb is not working & that their is a bad…

  9. Setting prices for stay products can be difficult, especially when properties use dynamic pricing based on season or day of the week. Based on this dynamic pricing scheme, this feature could also be extended to stay products, allowing properties to inflate prices based on demand as is necessary.

  10. We have more than enough of different kinds of stay items for halfboard and other food peroducts. Could you give us a saved report to print all items used only on one report? I mean as we use the operations/product report but we could have a fixed report to show all halfboard items and breakfast and special dinners? Like a food and beverages report. Please.

    Breakfast products manually added to the bill from the “Items” tab can now be viewed from product report. This includes products charged once as well as per person per night.

  12. For larger properties is would be handy to filter the timeline by space category. E.g. if you have multiple categories the property can select only standard room in the filter to see only the spaces/reservations for the standard space category to change allocations.

  13. When working with corporate customers, conferences or groups; the number of same items on a bill, make for very lengthy bills which are difficult to read and process. We would like to see that when there is more than one item of the same product, that these are added up.

    For example, instead of 10 lines with 1 drink in each line. We want to see 1 line with 10 drinks and the total amount to be paid.

    Thank you for your feedback. We are very happy to inform you that as per your request we have added the option to customise your confirmation email per space type.

    In order to make use of this functionality:
    1. Select a space category (settings > property > space categories)
    2. Scroll down to “Order email template”
    3. Enter the text you would like to be sent to your guests and hit save.
    4. The text will now appear under the “Additional info” section of your confirmation email for the desired space.

    NOTE: The text does not need to be in custom HTML to appear correctly in the email.

    Thanks to your feedback, we decided to release two most wanted intervals! Now you can view following data on your reports:

    · Ongoing 6 months: First day of the current month at 00:00 – 6 months later at 00:00
    · Ongoing year: First day of the current month at 00:00 – 12 months later at 00:00

    The further development of the idea for the upcoming period is not planned for now. However, If we have any new updated on it, we will certainly let you know.

    I’m happy to announce that it is now possible to create multiple bookable services in Mews and start offering offices, meeting rooms, desks or parking spots to your guests.

    There is a dedicated timeline and reporting for each new service. Services can be offered on daily or overnight basis.

  18. To add additional self-service options for your guests, online checkout could help lessen traffic during peak checkout hours and eliminate queues from your reception desk. On the morning of departure, guests could use a link from their checkout email to review their bills, check out of their rooms, and then drop off their keys on their way out.

  19. We would love a report that we can pull for housekeeping to estimate staffing levels - only with upcoming arrival and departure dates, without guests email addresses, phone numbers and rates. A possibility to strip out that information automatically would be great to send it to an outsourced housekeeping team.

    The updates apply to the header of the Space Status report, and the report export where you will find a new "Totals" tab.
