  1. Rate restrictions are currently uneditable in Mews, meaning that even for a minor change, you must delete the old one and create an entirely new restriction.

  3. It would be very nice to see the room number of the guest in the tasks list in the Mews Commander and the mews commander app.
    If the housekeeping is using only the app, they can't see the reservation and therefore the room number.

    Hello from the Mews product team,

    We are very happy to announce that we have added reservation details in the task section of the Mews mobile app!

    You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.

    Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

  4. New update changed calendar/timeline colors to 50 shades of gray, why!!!???

    Out of order: dark gray
    Future stay: less dark gray
    checked out: light gray

    Why???

  5. If a guest arrives but their room is not ready, could we possibly have a flag or change of colour to show that they're waiting for their room. This way when the room is ready we can let the guest know asap.

On the timeline sometimes when we have over bookings we need to play the old tetris move some people and re-arrange their stay in order to fit everybody in, however when there is hardly any room you cant simply move the bookings easily. what would be very very VERY useful will be to have a section where you could dump up to 3 bookings in order to make some room while you try to fit everyone in. kinda like a blank space at the top of the timeline or a little pool for tetris you know you can even call…

    Thank you for the suggestions and upvotes.

    With the addition of the Optimise Space allocation on the timeline, the old tetris game just got easier!

    Not only do you have to worry less about playing tetris on the timeline, you can also choose to move reservations to an extra slot from the reservations module by selecting “none” instead of selecting a room number; this action can be performed for several reservations.

    You’ll now be able to view the reservation(s) that you have moved in the overbooking slot from the timeline, from here you can easily arrange and rearrange reservations as per your preference, or select the optimise timeline button to automatically move the reservations to an optimal location.

    Hello,

    We are very happy to announce that you are now able to distinguish between children and adults in reports!

    Updates for the reservation overview are currently in the final stages of development and will be released very soon.

    In addition to this release, we’ll be adding functionality that will allow you to add products to children and adults separately whilst creating a new reservation.

  8. When a secretary or organizer, organize a booking on behalf of someone else, include an additional field for booker on the reservation, so that you could run a reservations report against the bookers.

The search function is useful for quickly finding a reservation or customer profile, however with some compound names and or prefixes attached to names of certain nationalities, it makes this function harder to use since partial searching is currently not possible. Expanding this search function could improve this feature to allow searching for any and all parts of a customer's name, making results more accurate and data easier to navigate.

  10. When a task is assigned to a user or department, no notification is received on the mobile app.

    The user must visit the Task section in the mobile app to see if any tasks have been assigned to them.

    Push notification to the user to alert them of the new task would help the user be aware of the new task.

    A little Red bubble showing new tasks over the task menu would also help.

    Example: Customer checks out of their room & advises the front desk that a light bulb is not working & that their is a bad…

  11. The billing has changed and a lot of colleagues get confused using this new billing method. It is harder to see the companions on the same room when 2 guest are travelling together in one room. Sometimes the charges from F&B are booked on 2 different names in the same reservation. This can be easily forgotten on check out when very busy.
    The room number is also not visible in the billing. It would be nice to see a name and roomnumber. (sometimes there are 2 bookings under the same name)

    We would love to change back to the old…

    Thank you for your comments and feedback regarding the billing screen.

    We have released an update resolving issues where the room names and room numbers were missing from the billing screen.

    The new billing screen has 2 main views, group billing and individual billing.

    From the group billing screen, you will be able to view a list of all bill items for reservation owners and companions. The group billing screen can be accessed from the billing tab on the top right hand side of the reservations screen.

    The group billing screen shows all bill items for a group for the current stay period. Whereas as the individual billing screen (which can be accessed by selecting the billing icon next to a guests name), will show you all bill items from current, previous and future reservations.

  13. Adding this to the API will ensure that the correct name will be added in the invoice when we close the bills automatically.
    It will allow us to be more efficient, avoid changes and manual work.

  14. Dear colleagues,

    At this moment we can assign employees to the room but we can not cancel, it is only possible to override.

    It generous few problems:
    - in the next day room is still assigned to the same employee, a filter of the unassigned room is useless
    - everyday assignments must be made very carefully, checking when the room has been assigned, yesterday or today
    - it is not possible to make a report of an assigned room from the past, the system shows the only current assigned

  15. When working with corporate customers, conferences or groups; the number of same items on a bill, make for very lengthy bills which are difficult to read and process. We would like to see that when there is more than one item of the same product, that these are added up.

    For example, instead of 10 lines with 1 drink in each line. We want to see 1 line with 10 drinks and the total amount to be paid.

  16. Instead of displaying the creation date, it would make more sense for our guests to see the consumption date so that when they check their bill they can quickly identify when certain items were used.

  18. We have more than enough of different kinds of stay items for halfboard and other food peroducts. Could you give us a saved report to print all items used only on one report? I mean as we use the operations/product report but we could have a fixed report to show all halfboard items and breakfast and special dinners? Like a food and beverages report. Please.

  19. At the time, I can only create a restriction for one rate or rate group at a time. I would have to create multiple restrictions to cove two rate codes. For example, I would like to create a 2-night minimum for my Airbnb rate (Travel Agent Group) & all my rates that flow off the best flex rate. So I have to create 2 different restrictions and keep up with changing both when I make changes.

  20. We have received an error message 'reservation too long'. Currently reservations can only be accepted < 365 days. We need to be able and show there is business for long stays for our stakeholders and therefore splitting the reservations provide wrong information regarding the LOS. I would advise extending this time frame to 2 years

    Hello, reservations longer than a year can be created through monthly bookable services functionality. The maximum length is restricted to 5 years.


    In the coming months, the team will focus on improving the functionality for long stays (monthly reservations) and introduce pro-rating, flexible housekeeping and product posting.
