  1. The German Translation of the "Availability & occupancy report" should be improved: The term "Stayovers" is currently translated to "Bleibende Gäste", which translates back to English as "staying customers" which is incorrect, because the row labeled includes only the room count, not the guest count.
    So correctly this row should be labeled as "Bleiber" or "Bleibende (Räume)" .

    I have checked with our translation and localization team about this request, and they've confirmed that the relevant translation was improved in May 2024. Since the text isn't specific to [number of] rooms or guests and could refer to either or both, they've chosen to use "Bleibende Reservierungen" here.

  2. Since the new update a chat icon for mews support has been added in the left corner. With the computers in our hotel we can´t change resolutions which causes issues as the icon is blocking some of the tasks in reservation. Is there a possibilty to disable this icon per account or move it slightly?

    When having a big rooming list , instead of going room by room then "group" then "last name" and "first name" - we could get a MEWS template on how to fill those names so it can be directly integrated into mews with a drag an drop file.

    At least when there is 1 to 2 person in the room :)

  5. we are not able to see anywhere the list of names when doing a search. not when making a booking, not when adding a guest to a booking, nothing nowhere.
    this is a huge issue as bookings can't be completed or amended and mistakes are being made. can't even add a booker who has now asked me twice already for the payment link to be sent to her!!!!!!!!!

  6. Please allow for different room quantity allotments over each date to reflect typical room block patterns. Currently, I can only enter the same amount of rooms over each date, that is not how blocks usually work and it prevents me from easily entering the rooming list in the block once it goes definite.

    Hi Kenna,


    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is currently possible to set room quantity per day, per space category in a block.


    In order to do this, click the "Adjust" button on the block dashboard > Select a date where you'd like to remove availability and manual enter the number. This action can be done for any date within the block, whereas the bulk update option allows you to set different room quantities for a selected period.

  7. until recently I was able to send emails to guests from my cell phone. Something has changed and now I am not able to access the send button so I can't send emails from my phone anymore.
    I could do this, then it recently changed, I sent an email and it was updated, but just went back to not being an option a week ago :(

There should be way to process the authorization that was already made on the card to be processed to a complete charge while checking in the guest using the terminal where the preauthorization is sent to the terminal and guest will make sure it is the right amount and enter there pin if it is a debit card or enter the zip code for credit card or any other way so that there can be less chance for any guest to add a charge back case something like that as it will make sure the guest used the card by…

  9. It would be ideal to see the number of room nights per booking that have been cancelled when running a Reservation Report with "Status is Cancelled". At the moment the report generates with the number of nights all reported as ‘0’.

    In order to view the number of cancelled room nights in the reservation report, please ensure that your filters are set to the following 


    • Filter: Canceled
    • Status: Canceled


    The Status filter does not have the cancelled state loaded automatically, it must be manually selected in order to see the number of cancelled nights.

  10. i am trying to make a new booking for a guest as part of a "group".
    however, the system does not let me chose the correct service option and insists i book a cot instead of an apartment.
    totally pointless.
    i do not wish to make a new reservation from the guest profile as i wish to keep all the other information of the current booking. reason is that there is a short break in the existing booking and not a complete new one.
    thank you for investigating and fixing.
    PS - this is not the first time this happens…

  11. In MEWS we have some old stay services which we dont use anymore but cannot delete because there are old reservations one.

    I tried to change the display order in the stay service settings however this doesnt pull through on all screens.
    E.g. homepage, reports and timeline.
    When we are working in the account we need to keep changing the view from the old stay service to the actual active stay service.

  12. once you have made a booking for a room, you seem to be unable to duplicate it and add a different service (like parking or cot). you should get the ability to change this when making the duplicate as the cot and parking are in general for the same dates as the room booking

    Hi, to create new reservation of another bookable service linked to a reservation of the accommodation, please, use Reservation group functionality. 


    You can use the same dates, details etc - just use the "Add another reservation" button in the Reservation flow.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is currently possible to view the name of a guest the has checked in from the Mews Mobile app from the spaces section.


    In order to view this information, select a room, scroll down and you will be able to see the name and details of a reservation that is currently in a room.

    really annoying and wasting a lot of time having to refresh after every billing handling, especially as system has been really slow at times in the last two or three days.

  15. Would it be possible to pay per month and not per night? For exampe, our tenants stay at our residence 6 or 12 months. One month costs €510,-. Now I have to calculate it back to the costs per night. So for every month I have to divide the €510,- by 28, 30 or 31 nights. This almost never ends on a rounded number wich makes it a lot of work and the chance of making a mistake or typo is big. Please let me know if this would be possible.

    Hello, monthly bookable services in Mews allow you to price your services on monthly basis: you do not have to define price for each night, you price full months and there is only one item (month) instead of 30 items (nights) on the bill.


    In the coming months, the team will focus on improving the functionality for long stays (monthly reservations) and introduce pro-rating, flexible housekeeping and product posting. We are also looking into payments automation via direct debit.

  16. Is it possible to make the task field in MEWS bigger again so that you can drag the field to write info in it?

    Before the update, you could drag the "Description" window larger using the arrows at the bottom right.

  17. When using Commander on an iPad, when selecting links such as under Finance, Reports and Reservations the links are very close together and when touched, there is no response or incorrect input as your finger may accidentally touch the wrong link. You have to be careful where you touch. On a laptop or computer, there doesn't seem to be a problem but with a smaller screen there is a challenge. Maybe spacing these links slightly more apart or using a slightly larger font would help in accidental input.

  18. When we have a meeting room booked and the company would like add bedrooms to their booking. So everything is connected and is clear that the reservations are for the same event.

    Hi, to create new reservation of another bookable service linked to a reservation of the Meeting room, please, use Reservation group functionality.   


    You can use the same dates, details etc - just use the "Add another reservation" button in the Reservation flow.  


    Alternatively, you can create a new reservation for the accommodation and merge it with the meeting room booking - again, everything will be in the same reservation group.

  19. every time you delete a house use booking it crashes the system. a couple of days ago it just took about 2 minutes to process through the system, since yesterday it crashes the actual page and you have to re-open a new mews to continue your work. totally frustrating

  20. Report that separates OTA's by 'Multiple Selected Travel Agencies'

    Meaning, we can pull a report for all revenue from all booking and also a report for just OTA'S (Not Brand Website), with a percentage against all bookings

    Hello Jodie,

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. You are currently able to group by “Reservation source” in the reservations report in order to see a list of all reservations separated by OTA. If you view the report in “Totals” mode, you will be able to view the percentage of reservations from each OTA.

    In order to view the report separated by travel agencies, you can select the filter group by “Travel agency”. If the report is “Totals” mode you will be able to see a breakdown of revenue from each agency as well as a breakdown of a percentage against the bookings.
