Task expiry to cause a notification
As there may be many tasks created for your property, they can be difficult to keep track of when managing many aspects of your operations. For this reason, passing task deadlines should generate a notification for the task creator or any department members to which the task is assigned. After being sent, these pending notifications would only be dismissed when the task is fully completed. This implemented feature could help all members of your team stay more on schedule and would encourage task completion in line with all assigned deadlines.

Check-out bill options check marks
To choose between the options "check out balanced bills" and "check out with unbalanced bill" you have to set the check mark. As the check marks will be set by clickling somewhere in the whole line, it's very easy to set the wrong check mark by accident. The check mark should be set only by clickling directly on the check mark box.

There should be a feature where guests can receive their booking confirmation in a PDF file.
At this moment booking confirmations are sent automatically by the system, you can not change it to a pdf file.

Email notifications for employees when guest messages
Send an automated email notification to make reservations aware there is a guest message waiting. This would save the team having to check MEWS messenger as well as emails.

Create a Queue Booking
Would be great if you could create a Queue Booking system.
In order to easely identify guest that have made the admin paperwork however their room wasn't ready.

Customize mandatory fields
I want to pick which fields are mandatory in reservation screen (segment, company, phone number)

All required fields in the PMS are based on legal requirements. It is unlikely that we will allow the modification of required fields, or the addition of mandatory fields that do no meet legal standards in each region in the near future.

Have availability date range auto set with "end date" 7-10 days from selected "start date"
It would be great to only have to select a desired check-in date, or "start date" and then have the check-out or "end date" auto fill as a 7-10 spread and default to showing Net Values instead of Gross.

Online Checkin Trigger
For properties that wish to automate their guest's journey during check-in, they need Mews to be able to send out trigger when a guest completes their online check-in. Based on this, their door lock integrations could send the guest access code to their room. We should also be able to receive back information that the guest entered the room which can then change the reservation from online check-in to checked-in. This is in case that they have technology in place that recognizes when someone enters the room.

Making Commander PMS a Web App on iPad
We are using Mews primarily from an iPad. Because mobile support hasn't been fully added yet, it means that we have about 1/6 of the top of the screen permanently showing controls.
However, simply adding the code below will allow us to save Mews as a Web App, and if we save it to link to the home screen, opening it from there will display Mews with limited control.

In the long run, maybe make sure that Mews is a PWA can also do it. Here's some great examples:

products in stay and service could be the same
Some products are being used in stay but are also used in service.
For example we have rental bikes that are booked in advance, but are also rented out by guests from outside the hotel. They don't have a booking with us, we book this on a paymaster but have to recreate the products we already have with the stay products. It would be great if we van connect or copy them in some way. View customer classifications from NRS
"In the new reservation screen, as users are adding customer data, it could be difficult to identify any important classifications that were previously added, as they are not visible from that screen. Making customer classifications clearly visible in this screen could help eliminate some confusion or highlight information that is important for your team to know."

Mews Rate Scraper Integration
Competitor rates are very important as revenue managers consider how to set pricing for upcoming months. Improvement of scraped data could help with management processes as competitor pricing could be visible directly from the Rate Management Screen in Mews.

Scraping is often against the ToS of any platform and/or website, high maintenance and error prone. We recommend reviewing one of the top revenue management systems that we partner with in the Mews Marketplace who may offer similar solutions for your revenue managers.

It would be great when we are able to choose if we want to change the price per night with or without products. (we prefer without, but that has changed, probably for a good reason, to being able to choose would be fantastic.)
