  1. Our regular guests want the same room every reservation, right now we need to assign and block this space to them manually. My idea is to have select box to select the favorite room number of a guests in their 'profile' internals. By this MEWS can automatically block the favorite room of the guest when the reservation is made.

    Hello Mewsers!

    We are very happy to inform you that your request to automatically assign guests to their favourite room is ready and available for your use.

    Head over to a customers profile and, select the “internals” tab then click on “Preferred space features” to mark the preferences for your loyal guests.

    Tip: Make sure that you have space features setup to ensure that the guests are automatically assigned to the correct room.

    Many thanks for the feedback! Idea exists in the system just by filtering wider range of years, and comparison is there! Easy – breezy! :)

  3. Would be much easier to assign floors to every housekeeper instead of spaces. They already work everyday by floor so would help them to keep the same organization that we have today. Also regarding the assignments would it be nice if they can see them on the Commander app. That will void printing reports everyday. The supervisor can assign a floor and the housekeeper can be able to see that on the app in order to know what need to be done during their shift.

  4. Ability to create day-use reservations from reservations screen. Currently, we have to create a 1-day reservation and then edit arrival times for day use.

    Day uses for bookable services bring increased flexibility.

    Now it’s possible to set up bookable services in Mews for day use, allowing guests to reserve and use spaces at your property for a limited time period during a single day.

    Day uses are a great way to expand the range of services you offer, attract new guest segments, and increase your revenue and occupancy rates. You can offer luxurious “daycations” to locals, cater to travelers looking for a few hours’ rest during layovers, or host professionals in need of temporary workspaces or meeting rooms.

    Hello from the Mews product team!

    We are happy to announce that we have released an update to the way in which product rules are structured.

    What has changed?

    You will now be able to add multiple products to each product rule.

    What does this mean?

    Where you used to need 4 rules containing the same conditions for 4 different products, you now only require 1.

  6. Today, if you have an overbooking of 2 Classic rooms, but only 1 Deluxe room, the system will still send availability for 1 Deluxe room even though you are in overbooking of 1 room. It can be extremely dangerous.

  7. We need to be able to move one guest from one room/bed to another one and to edit the reservation even if the account is closed.

    Thank you for your feedback. It is currently possible to move a reservation from one to another both for cases when a bill is closed as well as cases where the reservation has been checked out.


    In order to use this functionality, please ensure that the reservation is unlocked. The date range for which you can edit this infromation depends on the editable history window for your property. You can learn more about the editable history window in this guide.



  8. Currently restriction filters reset when deleting a restriction which makes using the system very annoying. Filters should be kept when deleting restrictions.

  9. It could be awesome to be able to add different colours or notes to some dates in the Rate Management calendar so we can mark some special dates as holly weeks, special events, etc to pay attention to the rates on those days

  10. We are a Boutique hotel with 40 rooms without meeting rooms. Located In between centre of Amsterdam and a large (RAI) conference Centre. In case of large conferences or Events in the city we can sell at higher rate than leisure. Because these city wide conference are known for years ahead we like to have a space on top of timeline to place the name of the event with warning like "only sell high' or 'do not offer to groups' .

  11. At the moment it is not possible to send messages from the Mews Commander app only receive them. It would be a quick and useful tool for the Mewsers e.g. to communicate from HK to FO.

  12. For our housekeeping we would like to have the space category and the features shown per room in the app. This way they can see for example if a room has a twin or a double bed.

  13. There's a current "spent night report" which you can filer by segments, but it only gives you the occupation. It would be nice to know how much each segment produced, and to be able to filter that with/without commissions and with/without taxes.

    Thank you for the feedback and upvotes. We are very happy to inform you that it is possible to filter the reservation overview arrival report by alphabetic order as requested.

    In order to make use if this feature, you can select the “Ordering” filter in the “Arrivals” tab, and select “Customer”. This will automatically order your reservations in ascending order, alphabetically.

    Thank you for the feedback and suggestions, we are very happy to inform you that the space status report allows you to filter by alternate reservation states.

    You can choose whether you would like to view reservations that have been confirmed (definite reservations) , reservations that are currently optional or both! Simply select the “status” filter in the reservations report and apply the changes that you would like to view.

  16. in the new reservation module only an average price is displayed. a total price would be easier. possibly leaving the choice to the user as to what may be displayed.

  17. Mews should not impose anything on our official document. Moreover, if Mews wants to make a change on the official documents, they should warn us before.
    Hence we notice that our invoices and pro-format are now labelled "Factuur" (dutch word for invoice). But we do not use dutch in our system.
    Forcing us to use dutch language on our english or french invoices is just
    not right.

    We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!

    On this new screen we have separated bill items from past and future reservations. Now you can stick to seeing the relevant bills for your reservation in the selected stay period

    Don’t worry, we haven’t gotten rid of it completely! We have created an additional billing screen for each guest. You can access this screen by selecting “All guest’s bills” in the new billing screen. This will show you all open past, present and future bills for the guest you have selected, with convenient tags so you always know which bills are relevant for you.

    Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.
