  1. Change the name of out of service, out of service means can't be used in real terms but in mews means still for sale. Doesn't make any sense and too similar to out of order, both mean the same thing. Out of service should say minimal maintenance

  2. It would be great to have events shown on timeline to also reflect in the housekeeping app so that housekeeping staff are aware of events so they can set rooms up accordingly.

  3. Currently a user with only "Perform Housekeeping" rights can see a lot of financial reports!
    I don't imagine the cleaning staff at Mews Headquarters are allowed to see the daily revenue, so why should they (or 3rd party cleaning contractors) have access to our hotel financial data?

    • Posting Journal: Can be seen and has financial information about the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly revenue!

    • Payment Report: can be seen, has financial information. It can even see the cash going into the Cashier!

    • Accounting Ledger: can be seen and has financial information.

    • Bills and Invoices: Every invoice (anonymous) and its consumptions can be seen together…

    A good old rooming list with the exact amount of departures and arrivals. nifty to see how many people are leaving a room/ beds in a dormitory. and also how many will be arriving on the day.

  5. Be available to remove from THE SPACES the rooms that are out of order and service, to concentrate more in the DIRTY, CLEAN AND INSPECTED.

    I don't want to know in the front page the OUT OF ORDER AND OUT OF SERVICE. I only want to see them when I go inside the Space Status.

    Hope you can make the change.

  6. Within some states in the US, there is a maximum number of square feet (or metre) that an individual can clean during their shift. To help ensure that this limit is not being exceeded, it would help to have the measurements of the room listed within the Housekeeping part of Mews.

  7. We have about 9 hotels and I have to install A LOT of tablets for housekeeping. It takes ages to install and configure this. Since you have to configure the Android tablet from start, with Google accounts etc.
    While the only thing they need is the Housekeeping app.
    It would be time saving if you could install the housekeeping app on a new tablet just like you install the Kiosk. (boot the new tablet, scan a qr code and it's installed. Easy as one, two, three)
    This way the tablet is locked and you can only use the housekeeping app.…

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. 


    We allow for a little more flexibility so that the housekeeping app can be used on devices that are dedicated to housekeeping teams as well as devices that are not dedicated to teams.


    For cases where you have a single device dedicated to housekeeping we suggest making use of the native functionality on the device called "Guided access". Activating guided access will lock the device in a single application.


    It is unlikely that we will mandate this for the housekeeping application, hence we recommend making use of the native settings.

  8. Housekeeping needs the information whether a child belongs to one or the other child category - in our hotel baby, kid or teen - housekeeping prepares a crib for a baby, a small bed for a child and a special place for teens - so they cannot work with the actual submitted informations.
    Please submit the child categories to the housekeeping reports.

  9. Nous avons inclus nos lits supplémentaires dans le système mais pourquoi n'est il pas possible de voir leur disponibilité jour par jour? Nous avons dû créer un Excel pour faire cela et être sûr de ne pas être en surbooking de lit sup. Merci


    We have included our extra beds in the system but why is it not possible to see their availability day by day? We had to create an Excel to do this and be sure not to be overbooked. Thanks

  10. I would be helpful, if the housekeeping could see stay products which could for example be a fruit basket or pralines in the room.
    We have some rates for Specials that require a certain preparation from the housekeeping. Therefore it would be helpful, if the houseekeeping team could see the products and rates in their app.

  11. housekeeping staff's ability to set rooms in inspected.
    to be able to block Housekeeping staff to put room in inspected.
    HSK cleaners should only be able to put in dirty and Clean.

  12. We have rooms that need more time to be cleaned, which is why we have to block them for the night after the guests check out. It would be great if the system could do that automatically as soon as those rooms have been booked. As for now, we need to block the rooms manually everytime it is booked...

  13. For me Mews is all about cutting the extra manual work and automatize as much as possible. Having this in mind and that on a daily basis we use Mews Commander religiously so the FO and the HSK team know which rooms are cleaned it would be amazing to understand without having to manually insert the staff names on the status report who is cleaning which rooms and how long they take.

    Mews already stores all the information we need just does not have a way to push the data for analises.

  14. In the "Assign spaces to employees" window it is possible to set filters for space status like dirty, clean etc. It would be great if we can also filter arrivals, stay over and departures rooms on a specific day!

  15. If a guest arrives but their room is not ready, could we possibly have a flag or change of colour to show that they're waiting for their room. This way when the room is ready we can let the guest know asap.

    In order to view this information, select a room, scroll down and you will be able to see the name and details of a reservation that is currently in a room.

  19. To improve the speed of room assignment by housekeeper, it would be good to have the ability to drag and drop specific rooms under each housekeeper on a daily basis similar to what we do with Timeline. You could quickly see which rooms are unassigned and drag the room under each housekeeper to complete their board for the day. If room credits are used, each room that is dragged under a housekeeper deducts from the total credits assigned for the day.

  20. It would be good if we could assign room credits for rooms to help the assignment process. Example, smaller rooms would get .75, standard rooms 1.0 and suites 1.5. Thereby, if each housekeeper could clean 12 credits daily, the system could calculate each room by value and assign accordingly. Additionally, stayovers would receive .25 credit against assignment as they take only 20 minutes to touchup versus a full clean would receive +.25 as they take longer to clean as determined by the property. Using this method would improve productivity and room assignment.
