Stay restriction - CTA & CTD
As guests book close to holiday seasons, this can make operations difficult for your property when you may already be low on staff members. With the addition of close to arrival and close to departure restrictions, you can easily specify those dates when you'd like to restrict either check-ins or checkouts.

Email notifications for employees when guest messages
Send an automated email notification to make reservations aware there is a guest message waiting. This would save the team having to check MEWS messenger as well as emails.

Automatically create tasks when bookings are modified
Sometimes, staff is not made aware when a booking may be modified, which is frustrating as they may be forced to check their email more often than they would like. To help keep everyone informed, the system could automatically create tasks when a booking is modified to be processed by staff as they are received.

Tentative Reservation Status
Reservation is booked, but not taken from the availability.

Thank you for your continued feedback and suggestions.
We are happy to inform you that tentative, or as we’ve called them “Inquired” reservations are available in Mews Commander.
You can create reservations with the Inquired state from the third step of the new reservations screen by selecting the “Status” dropdown and clicking “Inquiry”.
Inquired reservations do not take spaces out of inventory, you can, however update the status of the reservations to either optional, confirmed or cancelled. Updating the status of a reservation to confirmed or optional will assign a room for your chosen reservation.
In addition to the above inquired reservations can also be created with a release date.

Show who updated a tasks
After the update, it is no longer visible who put in the task and who updated this task. I would like to see this again

Tablet for registration cards, so we dont have to print
It would be grate with a tablet that is on the reception counter, where the registration card comes up for the to sign or input data. That way we would save a lot of time and paper

Not only can you allow your guests to sign their registration cards from the Mews Operator (Kiosk) at check-in, you can also provide your guests with the option to sign their registration cards before arriving at your property using the Mews Navigator application.

Idea for group summary
Would be helpful to have a feature for the group summary, that shows how many adults + childen are in the group. Now it shows only total amount of people.

Send messages from Mews Commander app
At the moment it is not possible to send messages from the Mews Commander app only receive them. It would be a quick and useful tool for the Mewsers e.g. to communicate from HK to FO.

Auto log-out employee accounts
Implementation of a feature to automatically log-out signed-in employees after a certain amount of time, and additionally, a quick key to log out.
In some cases, multiple employees work on one computer and forget to log out. A quick key to log out would make it easier.15 votes -

At the moment in most cases we have to split reservations to perform a room change.

Reservation Status after restoring the booking
After restoring a cancelled booking the status is automatically "Confirmed" and there is no possibility to change it.
It would be very useful to have the possibility to choose the status (Confirmed/Optional/Inquiry) to which the booking should be restored.
Specially for group tentative/optional bookings which have been cancelled after the option date and need to be restored because the guest is still interested, but the booking is not confirmed yet.

Allow products to be offered by all staff or only management
Some stay products are only used by management or certain reservation agents.
Now all other agents and staff have to go through a long list of products to find the product that they need for the booking.
