  1. Is it possible to set up different tax rules by room type or rate plan? I am not seeing that we can alter our tax settings, but we need this functionality. We have certain third party TA's that are collecting and remitting part of the occupancy tax, so we need the ability to designate which taxes should be applied to any given rate plan and/or room type.

  4. It would be great if there is a possibility to make a split in the rate in different accounting ledger, without the guests seeying it.
    So like you can do by product rules, but than completly without the guest seeying your split.
    You can now put on bill as package, but then the guest still sees the product on the confirmation.

  5. Allow for a 'rate cap' or 'maximum threshold' for space categories that are derived by a percentage increase off the base rate.

    For example: a space category that decreases 20% off base rate would not be allowed to reach below $.xx or above $.xx

  8. When someone extends their reservation for multiple days you currently have to add the rates individually.
    Ex. If someone has a reservation for Jan 1-30 but they want to change their departure to March 31 and their rate is 99.00 you have to manually enter 99.00 60 additional times in the pricing section. Can we get a feature that you can add 99.00 to all extra nights?

  9. It would be useful to be able to lock the rate of a reservation when making price agreements for a one-time booking, just like you are able to lock the booking to a specific roomnumber. Now, when you or a colleague makes any changes to the reservation, you have the risk of changing the rate.

  10. Where one has rates setup and sold inclusive of the the package e.g. Breakfast, @ R1500.00 single or double inclusive of breakfast. In MEWS rate setup it is required to set a negative occupant adjustment for the value of the breakfast in order to correctly quote the rate for the single room booking @ R1500.00

    Where you have derived rates, one normally sets the rate up against the base rate with its relative % adjustment. e.g. -10%, however as the base rate has the negative occupant adjustment for the breakfast to too is discounted on the single rate published. Therefore…

  12. Other PMS systems I have used have "absorbed" products in the Rate.

    For example you have a rate of £150 , part of this is £10 breakfast.
    Currently in Mews if you change the price of breakfast , you then need to change all your rates separately which is time consuming.
    It also means that if you have 342 rate, the 33% deduction only comes from the accommodation value and does not take into consideration the products.
    If you change the price of a product it would be great if the value of the accommodation would also change automatically .

  13. Same idea here as what we can do with static rates.

    I.e. If we have a company rate that has 10 % off BAR. For next year they contract 15%.

    We have to wait until the date that the new contract starts and change the "Relative Adjustment" instead of being proactive and set the price beforehand with an override.

    This makes it bad for the customer as well cause they might want to book in advance but still get the old contract rate even tho they have a new rate coming up in just a couple of days.

  14. A discount (%) campaign should also be possible to reduce also Products (Product Rule) with that %. The obvious example is breakfasts - yet, preserving city tax without any % discount. This way, the myriad of special discounted Products, Product Rules etc would be avoided.

  15. Vouchers feature factually being able to be limited to only be used certain nights stayed (discounted events/corporates/groups). Vouchers are currently merely limited to be bought certain days. With this new feature we would avoid risk of subsequent guest Voucher misuse for other nights than the event/campaign period and/or a maze of Restrictions.

  18. Currently for Rate Management, we have to manually fill in the Room Rates for each day and each room. We use software that can generate a CSV with Rates for each Room Type, but at the moment we aren't able to import it.

  19. we have several corporate rates for different LOS and different levels of discount, although they are all showing as "corporate rate", it is important that we are able to distinguish when making reservations. to have the short name instead of the full name coming up when picking the rate would be really helpful.

Too many different rates in the "rate-tree"... just to create some discount, incl vs excl breakfast, non-refund vs flex etc. Can Attribute-Based Selling or Room Feature Combination Sales be an easier route forward or at least an option? https://hoteltechreport.com/news/breaking-room-categories
